File Description:
These Liveries were originally created by Nathan Havercroft for the payware Alphasim C-17a FSX version. Each DDS file has been resized to 1024x1024, vertically flipped to be correctly oriented for FS9, and saved as an extended BMP in DXT3 format. These files are for use in Flight Simulator 2004 v9.0 or v9.1, and all credits go to Nathan Havercroft for the repaints and to Alphasim for the paintkit and original textures. Included are all the C-17 textures Nathan has created as of July 5, 2010, but does not include the March "Plain" collection that Nathan did, which has all of the "plain" C-17's based at March.. this may be converted and uploaded in the future as time permits. The payware Alphasim C-17 Globemaster III is required to use these textures.

This package contains two repaints for Jens B. Kristensen's FS2004 Douglas DC-4 & C-54 V3.0. Featured is the C-54A (modified to DC-4 standard) N57670 of Resort Airlines: one repaint representing the aircraft around 1956, the other at the end of its open air storage in 1961. Resort Airlines Inc (of Washington, DC, and Oakland, CA) was a US non-scheduled carrier that specialised in the operation of inclusive holiday tours to the Caribbean and also in military charter flying (Logair). The airline was operative between 1945 and 1960. Its fleet comprised of Curtiss C-46, Lockheed 1049H Super Constellation and Douglas DC-4/C-54 aircraft. Around 1961-62 five C-54s which had been stored at Oakland for some time, ranging from several months to 6 years, were rescued by Aviation Traders (of Southend and Stansted, England) from the scrapdealer's axe and converted to ATL.98 Carvair car-ferry and cargo aircraft. N57670, which was active with Resort during 1954-1956 only and had been deteriorating during the open air storage, was one of these lucky birds.

CFS2/FS2004 Republic P-47D-2-RA Thunderbolt Razorback 42-22463 MX-J (Apple Knocker), 82nd FS, 78th FG, 8th AF, USAAF, 1944. This aircraft was flown by Lt. Milton H. Ramsey, who was forced to bail out after an air battle on January 29, 1944. Re-upload. FSX/FS2004 KLM Douglas C-54B-DC PH-DBZ. Built a C-54B-1-DC Skymaster at Chicago, IL, for the USAAF (c/n 10480). Powered by four 1,350 hp Pratt & Whitney R-2000-7 engines.After WW2 struck off and converted by Douglas at Santa Monica, CA (DC-4 conversion No. 67, powered by four 1,450 hp Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp 2SD13G engines). Sold on 15 January 1947 to Santa Fe Skyways as N90862 'Sky Chief Apache'. Sold on 24 May 1948 to KLM as PH-TEZ 'Zeeland'. Used as a freighter only. Re-registered PH-DBZ on 29 March 1954. Broken up in 1958. Remains sold on 20 April 1959 to Aviation Traders Ltd., Southend, UK. Fuselage used as a mock up for the ATL.98 Carvair. Tail section of fuselage used to replace damaged tail section of Carvair #1 in July-September 1961. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's great Douglas DC-4 & C-54 V2.1 (dc4_v21.zip) and Douglas DC-4 and C-54 freighters V2.1 (dc4cgv21.zip). Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.
