| Martin's Air Charter "1964" Douglas C-54B |

On 12 June 1962 the four years young Dutch charter company Martin's Air Charter (MAC), proud owner of two de Havilland DH-104 Dove and two Douglas C-47 ("DC-3") aircraft, welcomed at its Amsterdam homebase the flagship of the fleet: the Douglas C-54B ("DC-4") PH-MAE. Until that moment the largest aircraft of MAC, whose main activities were on the IT-charters and ad-hoc cargo transport, were C-47 PH-MAA which was limited to the transport of max. 32 passengers and C-47 PH-MAB which had a large freight door and could transport a maximum of 3 tons payload. C-54B PH-MAE was a huge improvement since it could transport 70 passengers or 7 tons payload. The other great advantage being it range (medium distance). It soon became a very popular aircraft. With the arrival of the larger Douglas DC-6A combiplane PH-MAM in 1966, the days of PH-MAE with MAC were numbered. The C-54B was sold to the German operator Allgemeine Lufttransport All-Air. Around the same time Martin's Air Charter had changed its name into Martinair Holland and as such entered the turboprop and jet age. These are textures only. You will need Jens B. | Patch 1 for MAAM-SIM D-Day C-47 'Skytrain' and Dakota Mk III Expansion Pack |

File Description:
This is a small fix that corrects a problem in the two FS2004 RAF Dakotas as originally uploaded, as well as the 6th Edition of the R4D/DC-3/C-47 CD. These two planes got FS8 air files in error and this self-installer will substitute the correct FS9 ones. If you prefer to do it yourself, simply copy and paste one of the American C-47's air files into the two British planes. This patch is not required for downloads after June 9, 2005, nor for the CD 7th Edition and later, as they have been patched.

File Description:
Central African Airways (CAA) was formed in 1946 and was the national carrier of the Central African Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland. It was headquartered in Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia. In 1956 CAA operated 5 Douglas C-47's mainly as second line aircraft. In 1964 CAA established Air Malawi, Air Rhodesia and Zambia Airways as subsidiary airlines and in 1967 all CAA assets were divided among the three subsidiaries and CAA ceased to be an operator on 31 August 1967. Textures only. Prior installation of Manfred Jahn's outstanding FS2004 Douglas C-47 Base Pack is required. Repaint by Andre Reimers.

File Description:
DETA was established in August 1936 and operated 4 C-47A's, 1 C-47B and 2 C-53D's. DETA became LAM - Linhas Aereas de Mocambique in 1975. c/n 11698 was built as a C-53-DO with USAAF serial number 42-68771 and was civilianized in 1946 for DETA and named 'Libombos'. In 1970 it went to the Portugese Air Force as FAP 6170 (in situ in Mozambique) and in 1974 was transferred to the Mozambique Air Force as 6170. Textures only. Prior installation of Manfred Jahn's outstanding FS2004 Douglas C-47 Base Pack is required. Repaint by Andre Reimers.

| Força Aerea Brasileira Douglas C-47A FAB-2041 |

File Description:
Força Aerea Brasileira C-47A-90-DL FAB-2041,C/N 20451 built by the Long Beach City production plant for the USAAF as 43-15985. Flew later as PT-KVH with the Clube Náutico Agua Limpa then scrapped. The Força Aerea Brasileira operated 82 C-47s between 1944 and 1983. In order to use these textures, you must already have the MAAM-SIM payware DC3 and the MAAM-SIM D-Day C-47 'Skytrain'and Dakota Mk III Expansion Pack installed in your FS2004 aircraft folder.
