MAC Douglas DC-7C Package

File Description:
Thanks to a major investment in 1964 by some large Dutch shipping companies, the 1958 founded Dutch charter company Martin's Air Charter, proud owner of a fleet of two de Havilland DH-104 Dove, four Douglas C-47, and one Douglas C-54B, was able to purchase from KLM one Convair 340 and one Douglas DC-7C Seven Seas aircraft. On 27 February 1964 the DC-7C PH-DSO was delivered at Schiphol. In November 1964 and May 1965 PH-DSL and PH-DSC were also bought from KLM. A fourth one, PH-MAK which has not been included in this package, was acquired from Alitalia. The great advantages of the DC-7C over the much smaller C-54B were its pressurised fuselage, its huge flying range and its payload, which was almost twice the C-54's payload. It was a very popular aircraft among crew and passengers alike. From September 1968 till late October 1968, PH-DSL, all white with red crosses applied to the wings, fuselage and fin, flew on the Biafra airlift from the island of Fernando Po to Uli airstrip to provide humanitarian aid, on behalf of the Dutch Red Cross. With the exception of PH-MAK which was sold to Spain in 1967, MAC's DC-7C's soldiered on till late 1968/early 1969 when they were sold. These are textures only. VARIG Boeing 737-341 (PP-VOE)

File Description:
VARIG B.737-341 PP-VOE C/N 24276-1645 Another of the original models B.737-341 builded by Boeing for VARIG(17 exemplaires builded). The 341 is the logic sucessor of the 241, the series 200 model,still in service for some routes. VARIG fleet had differents variant of the Boeing 737'(B.737-2C3Adv,B.737-241,B.737-2K9,B.737-2Q8,B.737-219,B.737-33A,B.737-36N,B.737-3K9,B.737-341,B.737-3Q8,B.737-4YO,etc)and the planes are the workhorse of the route systeme of the airline.The main technical center is located a Rio de Janeiro Antonio Carlos Jobim(Galeao)with the most big hangar maintenance in South America. Main hubs are Sao Paulo Guarulhos, Rio de Janeiro A.C.Jobim(Galeao),Porto Alegre Salgado Fihlo.I have included a serie of 90 Flights to the main national and international destinations,all served with 737 and the timetable and numbers flights are the rights one of this year 2004. Destinations are revised and actualised like in the reality(Curitiba,Porto Alegre, Ponte aereo=Rio Santos Dumont-Sao Paulo Congonhas,Foz do Iguazú,Manaus,Natal,Recife,Salvador,La Paz,Cordoba,etc. Many flights are corrected to be acomplished with the 737 and not the Douglas DC-10(out of service by VARIG long time ago and remplaced with the MD-11,this last also to be tasked in the future to fly only cargo). Today only two DC-10 fly cargo services with VARIG Logistica. Also included a new complete revised AirFile for the 737-300 type(17-04-04).

KLM Douglas DC-3

File Description:
Based on repaint templates by Mark Beaumont and original textures by Jan Visser this is a repaint of the MAAM-Sim DC-3 Passenger in the colours of Royal Dutch Airlines - KLM (1950's-60's). There is a brief history of this aircraft in the Read me file.txt. This is a texture only file that requires the Base DC-3 package available from; Mid Atlantic Air Museum Simulations (MAAM-Sim) Thanks to them for supplying the base pack.

Delta DC-6 Hybrid

File Description:
Textures for Gregg Pepper and Tom Gibson's DC-6. These textures depict an actual aircraft purchased from United in an interim scheme including some old and new details of Delta's paint during the mid 60's. Also evident is the United mainliner base scheme. This is the only aircraft which wore this short termed livery.

Douglas DC-4 'ALITALIA'

File Description:
This new photoreal metallic textures set in 'Alitalia' livery requires the new Jens B. Kristensen's original Douglas DC-4 package. Installation instructions are included. This aircraft, originally a C-54, was purchased by 'Alitalia' during 1950 and operated as passenger liner until 1954.

Douglas DC-3 Santair

File Description:
Few people realize that Santa Monica Airport, where the venerable Douglas DC-3 first flew on 17th December 1935, was named after Santa Klaus and his wife Monica. The Man In Red was quick to spot the benefits of undertaking his yearly mission in a mode of transportation ideally suited to the task, and was one of Douglas' first customers. "Hallmark Cards and Thomas Kincade can keep their reindeer and chimneys", he declared. "I'm going with Pratt and Whitney. Fuel me up, elf". And so it is today. 70 years later, if you look up into the sky on Christmas Eve ... there's every chance you'll get hit in the eye by a plummeting box, should any of Monica's hand-sewn parachutes fail to open. Based on the default DC-3, with parachute present delivery effect adapted from the work of Pierino Primavesi. Also features Christmas lights on the cabin top. Merry Christmas to all!
