Grumman Tarpon/Avenger Mk I FN910 White 4F of No 846 Sqn, Macrihanish, Scotland, December 1943. Amongst the second batch of Tarpon Is delivered to the British in the autumn of 1943, this aircraft was issued to No 846 Sqn after the unit had flown off of HMS Ravager and taken up residence in Scotland. No 846 Sqdn was the first unit to operate the Tarpon I in home waters.

It operated nightly flights to some of the major United States cargo hubs and to Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Model design by Hiroshi Igami.
