| Air Congo (Circa 1962) Douglas DC-6 |

After the Republic of the Congo (Leopoldville; since 1965 Kinshasa) gained independence in 1960 from Belgium, the Belgian national airline Sabena continued to operate routes in the country. Plans for the formation of a Congolese airline were delayed due to the Congo Crisis. However, in January 1961 a protocol was signed with Sabena for the creation of a limited liability company to be named Air Congo. On 1961 the company was formed, and incorporated on 28 June with Sabena providing technical assistance and personnel. The initial fleet of Air Congo consisted of ex-Sabena Douglas DC-3s, DC-4s and DC-6s. The first international destinations served by the carrier were Entebbe, Luanda, Nairobi and Ndola. The last "short" DC-6 was disposed of in 1970. Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

The Chronicles of N728DA...
This is a 3 pack of Textures for the Vistaliners FS2004 L-1011 Beta model.
Original Textures are done by respected Aircraft Texture Artist and Delta Pilot Jim 'Hornit' Campisi.He has allowed me to use his original textures as a basis for my modifications.
Whats in this Package?.. You have Jim's original Delta Paint,but with the engines redone with photoreal textures,and the Widgets on each side,with the common grease streaks across the cowlings.
In addition to Jims Originals,you get the special Bicentennial verison with weathering on the fuselage and pax door,as well as the Delta Belle,with the Belle image on the right side of the fuselage just aft of the nose.
Textures are now in DXT3 for faster FPS.
I would like to Thank Jim Campisi for allowing me to complete this project.When Vistaliners releases the final version,that model will be updated with these paints as well,for all to enjoy.

Re-upload. FSX/FS2004 NGAT Douglas C-54A Skymaster. Immediately after WWII had ended in Europe, KLM director Dr. Albert Plesman travelled to the USA. He visited President Harry Truman and succeeded to persuade the President to have a batch of 18 Douglas C-54A Skymasters delivered from the Surplus Property Board, in order to (re-)establish several medium- and long-haul routes and - from February 1946 on - the KLM Indies route from Amsterdam to Jakarta, then named Batavia. For several reasons, a.o. the sensitive political situation with regard to Indonesia (by then still a Dutch colony called Netherlands East Indies), the aircraft were purchased by the Netherlands Government Air Transport and carried military roundels and serial numbers, although they were used as civil aircraft. Later on they were sold on to KLM and received civil registrations. These are textures only. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's great Douglas DC-4 & C-54 (dc4_v21.zip). Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

It flies international destinations like Dubai, Frankfurt, Paris, Moscow, etc. Based of the incredible iFDG A320 aircraft. This aircraft is very highly detailed. textures upsampled to 32-bit with mipmaps removed for maximum quality.that's why, i guess, it will work only with FS2004. if you want to fly with FS2002, then simply downsample the texture files as you like using DXTBMP which is also a freeware that you can find on www.avsim.com or www.flightsim.com. The aircraft model includes most of the standard features including animated control surfaces, wingviews, flaps and full lighting configuration. FULL PACKAGE. simply download and enjoy!! I have included a special ATC call-sign for "Armavia" with the most proper spelling. just import the file to your "editvoicepack 3.1" for editing ATC call-signs, and which you can also download from www.avsim.com or www.flightsim.com.

This package contains two repaints for Jens B. Kristensen's Douglas DC-4 & C-54 V3.0. Featured is the C-54B (modified to DC-4 standard) G-ANYB in the colours of Air Charter Ltd London and of British United Airways. In January 1955 Freddie Laker's Air Charter aquired the C-54B-DC for transport work in Germany and trooping flights from Stansted to Cyprus. In 1959 the aircraft was moved from trooping flights to service on the route Southend to Calais flying passengers on one-day trips without a passport till 1 July 1960 when Air Charter was merged into British United. From 21 September 1960 till 3 October 1960 G-ANYB was used for a rigorous flying test programme before it was converted to the first Aviation Traders ATL.98 Carvair car-ferry aircraft. These are textures only. You will need the FS2004 Douglas DC-4 & C-54 (DC4_V30.ZIP). Repaints by Maarten Brouwer.

In November 1966 the Dutch charter operator Transavia Holland started its activities with 2 Douglas DC-6 and 1 Douglas DC-6B aircraft. Despite stiff competition from KLM and Martinair Holland, Transavia was able to conquer a considerable part of the charter and inclusive tours market and expanded its fleet with a several more DC-6B's. In 1968 Transavia became involved in the relief airlift from Sao Tome to Biafra using its fleet of DC-6's. The next year the DC-6's were sold to Flughjalp who continued flying the Biafra missions till January 1970. Featured here are DC-6 PH-TRA (1966 livery) and DC-6 PH-TRB (1968 livery). Today Transavia is a major Dutch low cost and charter airline (owned by Air France-KLM) operating Boeing 737-700 and 737-800 aircraft. These are textures only. You will require Jens B. After searching far and wide for a suitable repaint of the JustFlight/PSS B777 Professional in American Airlines new livery I decided to make my own using DXTBMP and GIMP2.8 with sincere appreciation to the authors of both. Delivered to American on November 12, 2012 as fleet number 7LA, N717AN is offered here in the new livery for American Airlines as one of 10 current -300ERs in the fleet (as of this writing). The repaint is offered in both a DXT3 version to save on FPS and 32-bit version for those higher end systems. This was designed for use on FS2004 (FS9) just in case there is an FSX version of the PSS offered by Just Flight. I have not tested it in either FSX or whether it will work on the Black Box version of the PSS (but I suspect it will, although no thumbnail is provided for use with FSX).

In 1946 and 1947 the newly established Norwegian airline Braathens South American & Far East Airtransport A.S. purchased for its medium- and long haul operations on charter basis four ex-USAAF Douglas C-54A Skymasters. Three of them had been converted to DC-4 standard by Texas Maintenance Company (Temco) at Fort Worth, Texas, and featured on the starboard side an enlarged emergency exit. The fourth C-54A was purchased from KLM. Around 1950 the Norwegian authorities concluded that Braathens' operations got increasingly a structural character, read: scheduled, operations and as such became a threat for Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) which was a conglomerate of "state" airlines of Denmark, Norway and Sweden. SAS received all concessions for the international scheduled routes, which meant the end of the use of the Temco converted C-54A's. These are textures only. You will need Jens B. FS2004 DFG Convair CV-240 VBF CA-18 in 1959 colors of Deutsche Flugdienst GmbH (German Flight Service Corporation), delivered to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines on August 31, 1948,
named "Albert Cuyp" and registered PH-TEC. Reregistered PH-CEC on March 2, 1954. Bought
by Deutsche Flugdienst GmbH on November 27, 1957 and registered D-BEPE. Sold to Houston Aviation Products on November 3, 1961 and registered N13648. Bought by Ozark Airlines on July 2, 1962 and registered N2400Z. Bought by Mohawk Airlines on December 23, 1964. Reregistered to Mohawk Airlines Delaware with registration N8327C on January 27, 1965. After this the Convair was operated by several companies and private owners. Last known action was taken at 2000-04-13. Ultimate fate is unknown. Textures and associated model file included only.
