These famous aircraft formed the backbone of the Imperial Airways, it's successor BOAC. and its partners Qantas Empire Airways and TEAL from the mid 1930s and through World War 2. FS2004 Short Hythe. The Short Hythe was a civil conversion of the Short Sunderland III patrol flying boat of WW2 fame. A number of Sunderlands served BOAC from 1943, and 22 of them were converted to proper airliners in 1946. Many of them were taken over by Aquila Airways in 1948-49, and served into the 1950's. Version 3.0 model for FS2004, with improved flight dynamics, more accurate model and more details in the virtual cockpit. Model by Jens B. Kristensen. For FS2004 only, FSX users should download DC4_V30X.zip instead. First release had a texture error, this is corrected here.

The Fokker F.XII trimotor of the 1930's was much larger than the well-known FVIIb/3m. Danish Air Lines had two F.XII's, they were used with great success on the international routes from Copenhagen to Hamburg, Amsterdam, London, Berlin etc.
