Kiwis are a bird that can't fly -- but in 1969 Cliff Tait showed the world that one Kiwi could fly. Setting out as a one-man mission to publicize New Zealand to the world, Cliff and his New Zealand made plane ended up making history. No one had ever attempted to fly solo around the world in such a tiny one-engine plane before.
Cliff's book "Flight of the Kiwi" recounts every detail of the flight that captured the attention of the whole world. On the human side, it tells of the warm generosity of those that helped Cliff, especially the world-wide brotherhood of radio "hams" operators and of the maddening obstruction of others -- particularly the Russian officials who denied Cliff permission to land forcing him to break his flight. Above all, this is a stirring story of one man's bravery facing immense odds and winning. | Piper PA-34 Seneca v3 |

File Description:
FS2004 Aircraft-Since its introduction in 1971 as the PA-34-200 Seneca I, the aircraft has undergone many changes. In 1975, responding to complaints about the aircraft's handling qualities, Piper introduced the PA-34-200T Seneca II. In 1981, the PA-34-220T Seneca III was introduced. The change in model designation reflects an engine upgrade. After the major upgrades of the Seneca II and III, model revisions were less drastic. In 1994, the "New" Piper company introduced the Seneca IV. This aircraft was much the same as the Seneca III but offered a streamlined engine cowl for increased cruise performance. Finally, in 1998 the Seneca V was released. Again the cowls were redesigned for increased performance, several cockpit switches were relocated from the panel to the headliner and a slightly different engine variant was used, but this aircraft is very similar to the III and IV models. | A.V.I.A. L.3 (Part 2) Closed Cockpit Version |

File Description:
The L.3 was a partially failed attempt to create a very simple and cheap monoplane trainer, better suited to the entire basic training syllabus of Regia Aronautica pilots from 1940 onwards. This closed cockpit version, initially conceived for civil use, was used also by the Croatian Air Force, the Luftwaffe and by the A.N.R. (for assault glider pilot training also). Some also served as 'unit hacks' during WW2.
This release (Part 2) provides a closed cockpit MDL in many relevant liveries. It also works (Tested) subject to some limitations within in FSX.
A.V.I.A. L.3 (Part 1) (L3_v01-OPEN_COCKPIT.ZIP) MUST BE INSTALLED BEFORE INSTALLING THIS PART 2.

The Mikoyan MiG-29 is a 3th generation jet fighter aircraft designed for an air superiority role in the Soviet Union. Developed in the 1970s by the Mikoyan design bureau, it entered service with the Soviet Air Force in 1983, and remains in use by the Russian Air Force as well as in many other nations. NATOs reporting name for the MiG-29 is "Fulcrum", which was unofficially used by Soviet pilots in service. It was developed to counter new American fighters such as the F-16 Fighting Falcon, and the F-15 Eagle.

File Description:
Tupolev TU-144, Soviet supersonic passenger aircraft. First flight in 1968, two months before the western Concorde. Also known as "Concordski" or "Charger". Faster than the Concorde, but less range. Today all Aircrafts grounded. Some of them on display in Russia, one on display at the "Technik Museum" in Sinsheim-Germany. One TU-144 was used by the NASA as a test vehicle.
New VC and 2D-panel. Tons of new xml gizmos like INS System, parachutes, autoland system, switchable Antiskid, landing lights independent from AOA, Moving Pilots heads, O2 Mask, TOGA, rain effects and many many bugfixes.
The complete package consists of two files, this one (tu144v2a.zip) and a second one (tu144v2b.zip). Both files are needed to run the aircraft.
NOTE: This file was original uploaded in August 2008, but was lost during the Avsim Hack. So this is not a new Release.

Now you can fly the plane from Fox Studios new release, the remake of Flight of the Phoenix.
Back in November of 2003, I had the pleasure and honor of being contacted by Fox Studios to do a repaint of Daisuke Yamamoto's C-119 for them. Understandably, I was not permitted to upload the repaint until after the release of the movie. Well, that time has now come and here it is. I have had the pleasure of seeing the movie and if nothing else, the effects of the flight and crash in the desert are well worth the seeing. I still prefer the original movie with James Stewart over Dennis Quaid, but then, I'm from the older generation. Enjoy! Heather
