FS2004 Short Hythe. The Short Hythe was a civil conversion of the Short Sunderland III patrol flying boat of WW2 fame. A number of Sunderlands served BOAC from 1943, and 22 of them were converted to proper airliners in 1946. Many of them were taken over by Aquila Airways in 1948-49, and served into the 1950's. Boat' using the Rolls Royce Goshawk engine.
with Steam, (Evaporative), cooling system.
This is just an impression of the first
of only three prototypes in 1935.
It never went into production.
The first flight was on the 30/ 12/ 1934.
Retired in 1938 as an instructional
airframe.
