Designed by Walter Extra, justly recognized for the aerobatic 300S, the 400 is a pressurized turbocharged single engine aircraft. It seats 6 and is capable of 235 knots TAS. Bell X1 - Glamorous Glennis

File Description:
The Bell X-1 was the first aircraft to break the sound barrier, a feat which it accomplished on the 14th October 1947 by reaching a speed of Mach 1.06 at an altitude of 43,000 feet. This model was created using FSDS 3.0 and features all animated control surfaces, undercarriage, suspension, and reflective textures. Flight Dynamics were done by Bob Chicilo who also added an afterburner effect and smoke.
