File Description:
The De Havilland Vampire was the aircraft that brought the South African Air Force into the Jet age. It came into service in South Africa in 1950, replacing the Spitfire and served as front-line fighters until 1956, when the Sabre replaced them. They were then used as trainers until 1972 when the Impala (AERMACCHI MB326) finally replaced them. This aircraft (Nr. 277) is still flying, operated by the South African Air Force Museum in Pretoria. It has full animation, including an opening canopy, a dynamic virtual cockpit, full lighting effects and a checklist.

PILATUS PC7 ASTRA MK II FOR FS2004
The Aircraft is depicted in the colours of the South African Airforce. No 2023 is depicted as aircraft No 1 of the Silver Falcons Aerobatic team. The Astras are used by the SAAF as its primary trainer. This is a full package that includes sound and a photorealistic panel with xml gauges. Features include full moving parts, opening canopy, reflective textures, VC and accurate flight performance based on pilot input. All working parts can be activated from the cockpit. The Tu-16 'Badger' was a replacement for the Soviet Tu-4, a reverse-engineered copy of the American B-29 Superfortress. The Tu-16 aircraft first took to the air on April 27, 1952. It ultimately proved to be a durable airframe and was produced through the 1990's, the final versions being license-built in China.

This updated model will not work with the
original repaints released in Dec. 2007.

The Macchi C.205 (also known as MC.205,"MC" standing for "Macchi Castoldi") Veltro (Italian:Greyhound) was an Italian World War II fighter aircraft built by the Aeronautica Macchi.
The C.205 was a development of the earlier C.202 Folgore. With a top speed of some 400 mph and equipped with a pair of 20 mm cannon as well as 12.7 mm Breda machine guns, the Macchi C.205 Veltro was highly respected by Allied and Luftwaffe pilots alike. Regarded as the best Italian aircraft of World War II, in action it proved to be extremely effective, destroying a large number of Allied bombers and capable of successfully clashing on equal terms with such renowned fighters as the North American P-51D Mustang, but, although the C.205 was able to match the best Allied opponents in speed and manoeuvrability, it was introduced late in the conflict. Moreover, due to the poor Italian industrial capability of the time, only a small production run was delivered before the end of the war.
Italy's highest scoring ace, Adriano Visconti, achieved 11 of his 26 credited victories in the few weeks he was able to fly the Veltro, with the top scoring 205 Sergente Maggiore pilota Luigi Gorrini shooting down 14 enemy aircraft plus six damaged with the C.205.
