GAF Government Aircraft Factories Nomad 24 Download

File Description:
The Australian built GAF Nomad (GAF - Government Aircraft Factories) was manufactured in the 1970's. This model, GAF Nomad 24, could carry 17 passengers. This aircraft has been made primarily for AI purposes but actually also flies well as an ordinary aircraft. This Gmax model has 6 LODs with only 2510 polygons (triangles) for the main model. I am indebted to Ray Blake who has made all the textures (six) for this package. There are two separate paintkits being posted to Avsim. The first is the default which will suit most painters needs. The second uses the "tfslg" model (top fuselage) and provides for detail on top of the fuselage and was used for the army aircraft camouflage texture which is part of this package.

Air Scotia Hsst5 Supersonic Airliner Download

File Description:
This plane is faster than Conorde its max speed is mach 3.5 and is heavnly to fly. Ive encluded the model, Air Scotia textures as well as Califonian textures. The plane its self is just so beautiful put on full speed on take-off and its nose will go into the air within a second. I hope you enjoy this plane as much as I do and if someone could make AI trafic for flights from Glasgow (scotland) to Gran Canaria (Spain) It that would make my flight sim the best. Look out of other Air Scotia planes such as the Embrarer 170 and Boeing 757. The 757 will becoming shortly as will many of the Air Scotia fleet but the Embrarer 170 is already here just search Air Scotia in FS2004 Original Aircraft.

Russian Air Force Yak-52 (with large nose cone) Download

File Description:
This aircraft has been made primarily for AI purposes but actually also flies well as an ordinary aircraft. Ray Blake persuaded me to create two additional models for the Yak52 (4_GA_Yak52.zip uploaded in March 2008) which display a large nose cone with the existing two-blade prop, or the large nose cone and a three-blade prop. He kindly provided four new textures to accompany these two new models. You can either just load the whole new set into your existing FS9 aircraft folders and it will display as a single incorporated set of Yak52 aircraft, or if you want to merge the new models and textures into the Yak52 folder, an illustration of the folder arrangement is included for your guidance. The same paintkit (paintkit_4_ga_yak52.zip) is used for any of these models.

Harbin Y-12 Download

File Description:
Re-upload. Harbin Y-12 The Harbin-Y12 is a Chinese-made aircraft. It has twin turboprops, a crew of two and can carry up to 17 passengers. It is designed to operate from short airstrips. This aircraft has been constructed using Gmax v1.2 and is designed for AI use. However it also flies well as a normal GA aircraft. The aircraft is constructed with as few polygons as possible and with a single texture file to ensure the absolute minimum impact on your framerates. There are two models included. The default has a three-bladed prop, and there is also a four-bladed prop model. Each has a total of 6 LOD models. There are three liveries included. A paintkit for this aircraft has been uploaded also.

Dornier Do27 Download

File Description:
Re-upload. Dornier Do27 (Germany) Four to six seat STOL utility light aircraft manufactured in the mid 1950's to 1960 and initially designed for military purposes. A total of 577 Dornier Do27 were produced in their various manifestations. It has a wide and relatively roomy cabin, wide track undercarriage and excellent STOL performance. The STOL performance in particular suited the Do 27 for use in undeveloped countries, and several have seen service in Africa and Papua New Guinea. This has been modelled with Gmax v1.2 and has animated ailerons, flaps, elevators and rudder. It has 4 LOD models and a single texture file and is extremely frame rate friendly. It is designed specifically to enhance the AI aircraft population and to use with the marvellous GA-Traffic program by Markus Brunner . It is also quite fun to fly as a normal aircraft but you will need to install a suitable panel for this. Three textures and a paintkit are included. Special thanks to Steven Grant for his kind permission to use his FDE for this aircraft

de Havilland Chipmunk Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Re-upload following Avsim hack. The Chipmunk first flew in 1946. There were numerous variations built in both Canada and Great Britain as a trainer aircraft to replace the Tiger Moth biplane. More than 500 Chipmunks remain airworthy throughout the world today. This aircraft has has been constructed using Gmax v1.2. The aircraft is constructed with as few polygons as possible and with a single texture file to ensure the absolute minimum impact on your framerates. The model has six LODs with the main model having just 2522 polygons (faces/triangles).I would like to especially thank Ray Blake who has kindly made all ten high quality textures for this package. It is also quite fun to fly as a normal aircraft, but was originally designed specifically to enhance the AI aircraft population and to use with the marvellous GA-Traffic programme by Markus Brunner . The file for GA-Traffic can be found at Avsim: "ga-traffic_setup.zip". The paintkit is being posted as a separate zip file. Further information on the DHC Chipmunk can be found at Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Havilland_Canada_Chipmunk

Van's RV-8 Download

File Description:
In 1995, Van’s decided to re-visit the tandem concept. Even though the side-by-side RV-6\/6A had become the most popular homebuilt design ever, there was still a significant percentage of pilots who really wanted centerline seating. The consensus seemed to be that a new tandem airplane, optimized for cross-country flying, would be popular.\n\nThe "concept airplane" was dubbed the RV-8. A one-of-a-kind demonstrator was built in 1995 and introduced at Oshkosh. The cockpit was several inches wider than the RV-4, so space both front and rear was greatly improved. Really big people (high on the "bubba scale") who could not fit in earlier RVs now had an airplane they could fly. A front baggage compartment almost doubled the available baggage capacity and along with the usual compartment behind the rear seat, actually gave slightly more space than the RV-6\/6A. This package features a FSDSv2 model, custom panel, VC, moving parts, and two paint schemes. This aircraft is fun to fly, and also works well as an AI addition for GA routes.

Avro York (Base Package) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Re-upload. Used variously as a long-range freighter and/or passenger airliner, the York was designed around the wings, engines, undercarriage, and tail assembly of the Lancaster bomber, adding a box-shaped fuselage and a center fin. Of a total of 253 production aircraft built, 208 initially went to the RAF, 25 to BOAC, 12 to BSAA, and 5 to FAMA (Flota Area Mercante Argentina). Specially fitted VIP versions were used by Winston Churchill and General de Gaulle. After completing 29,000 sorties in the Berlin Airlift of 1948-9, many RAF Yorks were sold to charter operators such as Aviation Traders, Dan Air, Hunting Clan, Lancashire Aircraft Corporation, and Skyways of London. Some of these re-acquired RAF roundels for "trooping flights" to the Middle East in the 1950s. From 1955 onward, the Yorks were gradually withdrawn, although some soldiered on until 1964. Two such veterans have been preserved as museum exhibits in Duxford and Cosford in the UK. Gmax exterior model and textures by Manfred Jahn, FDE by Paul Edwards, panel by Phil Perrott (Alphasim), Paul Edwards, and Lars Fors. A dedicated AI version has been released separately. The textures in this package represent MW207 of 246 Squadron RAF, BOAC G-AGNP ("Manchester"), and Skyways G-AHEY. The Flight dynamics are for a York fitted with Merlin-500 series engines.
