It was produced in very large numbers, had a distinguished carreer with the USAF in Korea as a fighter-bomber, and was for a number of years the main equipment of many NATO air forces. FS2004 Vickers Vernon II. The Vernon was developed from the Vimy Commercial, and was the first troop-carrier transport operated by the RAF. It served from 1923 to 1927, mainly in the Middle East and India.

File Description:
FS2004 Vickers Vimy Commercial ver 3. After the end of WW1, Vickers decided to build an airliner version of the Vimy bomber. The prototype Vimy Commercial flew in april 1919. A total of 44 were built, most of them for China. The most well-known example was, however, G-EASI 'City of London', flown by Instone Air Line (and later Imperial Airways) 1920-1926.

FS2004 Douglas C-124 Globemaster II. The C-124 Globemaster II was the standard USAF stategic transport during the 1950s and 60s, until it was replaced with the Lockheed C-141 Starlifter. The C-124A and C-124C are both included in this package.

File Description:
FS2004 Short Hythe. The Short Hythe was a civil conversion of the Short Sunderland III patrol flying boat of WW2 fame. A number of Sunderlands served BOAC from 1943, and 22 of them were converted to proper airliners in 1946. Many of them were taken over by Aquila Airways in 1948-49, and served into the 1950's.
