T.F. Green State Airport - Providence (PVD/KPVD)

File Description:
AFCAD of the KPVD airport. Includes accuarate gate numbering and locations for all airlines serving the airport as well as assigned cargo areas and parking for general aviation aircraft. This is my continuing series of doing airports that have been neglected by both MS and the community. Hopefully this will enhance flying into this airport for those of you that frequent it. Terminal space for this airport is actually slightly better then previous airports I've done but still a bit on the small side, I've had to expand the ramp space from the default since it was shaped wrong. Every gate, however, is present and correctly numbered and airlines assigned to the right gates based on the PVD airport website. Delta, US Airways and Southwest seem to be the dominant carriers to this airport. I will be continuing to do mid sized aiports accross the US and then probably do some updates to my original Central America and Caribbean afcads. Hope this enhances your flying into and out of the beautiful state of Rhode Island.

Vickers Valiant

File Description:
The first of the famous V-bombers, the Valiant dropped Britain's first H-bomb. Although a capable tactical bomber, it was not well suited for the shift to low level bombing brought on by improvements in Soviet air defense. It therefore spent most of its service life as a tanker.Fully animated included panel.

Avro Arrow

File Description:
The CF-105 Arrow was a mach 1.5+ interceptor intended to counter the ever growing Soviet strategic bomber threat. Designed in 1953, it was an incredible aircraft, with unmatched performance in its day. Strangely it was cancelled after 5 production aircraft were built. Fully animated included panel.

Vintage Props & Jets

File Description:
This file contains flight plans for use with Flight Simulator 2002 or 2004 AI traffic. They are based on the company's Summer 2004 timetable which is published on their web site at http://www.vpj.com/ . Their scheduled services operate between various Florida airports and the Bahamas. I don't know too much about the airline, but it appears that their fleet is neither "vintage" nor "jet" and apparently consists of four thirty-year old Beech King Air 100s (almost vintage!) and a Beech 1900C, along with three Piper Chieftans and Navajos. The Pipers operate charters throughout southern USA and the Caribbean. I've created some optional imaginary flight plans for these, too.
