At 4:30 A.M. on May 10, 1940, three Junkers Ju 52's took off from the Cologne airfields of Ostheim and Butzweilerhof, towing behind them three other aircraft that lacked motors. The first front service of a new weapon, the freight glider, developed by the DFS (Deutsche Forschungsanstalt fur Segelflug / German Research Institute for Sailplane Flight), had begun. A total of 41 DFS-230 freight gliders with 400 paratroopers were launched for this mission. It was their task to take the Belgian Fort Eben Emael near Maastrich. With this successful operation the crossing of the Albert Canal was secured and the cornerstone of Belgian defense fell in German hands.
These assault gliders were also used during the Krete invasion (1941). The DFS 230's last significant use was during the 'Eichen' operation: 10 assault gliders were used to deliver the group of hand picked commandos led by Otto Skorzeny against the Gran Sasso mountain-top hotel that was used to hold Mussolini. The Royal Italian Air Force (Regia Aeronautica) received from Luftwaffe, during 1941, almost 20 DFS-230 and 4 Gotha Go-242 assault gliders. These aircrafts were used only for pilot training until 09/1943.

The Gloster Gladiator Mk 2 was the last British biplane fighter, a development of the Gladiator Mk 1 with a 3 blade fixed pitch propeller. The Mark 2 had a 830 hp Bristol Mercury VIIIA engine. During the December of 1940 the R.H.A.F. (E.B.A.) received eight Mk 2 from Egypt based R.A.F. Squadrons and six Mk 2 from Greece based R.A.F. Squadrons. All these fighters armed the E.B.A.'s 21st Fighter Squadron and operated from Ioannina's airport.
Complete aircraft. The original model, created by Thicko Bielat and Morton (panel), features the usual moving parts, such as all flight controls, spinning wheels and so on; navlights added by M.Villa. Two R.H.A.F. (E.B.A.) liveries. Completely new weathered textures by Manuele Villa.

The Thanlwin Bridge (Mawlamyine), linking Mawlamyine, the capital of Mon State, and Mottama side, is the longest and largest of its kind in Myanmar (Burma). It is 11575 feet long and has a 28-foot-wide two-lane motorway with the length of two miles, a 14-foot-wide railroad with the length of four miles, and two six-foot-wide walkways on it. Yangon International Airport "MINGALADON" will be able to accommodate bigger aircrafts and handle more passengers when work on extending its runway and upgrading its facilities is completed in July 2006. The completion of the runway extension will enable Boeing 747 and Airbus 380 airplanes to use the airport. The work on extending the runway from 8100 feet to 11,200 feet began October 2004. The length of the two-storey building will be increased from 340 feet to 800 feet, its width from 140 feet to 200 feet. This scenery buildings and parking areas maybe are different from the real one, but the runway is exact 11228 feet long. The ILS-Correction is already contained here. Re-upload
