Patch 1 for MAAM-SIM D-Day C-47 'Skytrain' and Dakota Mk III Expansion Pack

File Description:
This is a small fix that corrects a problem in the two FS2004 RAF Dakotas as originally uploaded, as well as the 6th Edition of the R4D/DC-3/C-47 CD. These two planes got FS8 air files in error and this self-installer will substitute the correct FS9 ones. If you prefer to do it yourself, simply copy and paste one of the American C-47's air files into the two British planes. This patch is not required for downloads after June 9, 2005, nor for the CD 7th Edition and later, as they have been patched.

MAAM-SIM DC-3

File Description:
These are 24-bit templates on which to base repaints of the FS2004/FS2002 MAAM-SIM DC-3 available from Mid-Atlantic Air Museum Simulations (MAAM-SIM) at www.maam.org. They cannot be used with the default FS2004 DC-3. This is not a 'paint kit' as such, as the original MAAM-SIM DC-3 bitmaps are partly photoreal. Rather, these are semi-finished templates on which to base further work. This initial package comprises bare metal and white top liveries for the base Passenger and Cargo DC-3 models in different variations, together with revised alpha channel templates. Simple instructions are included. These base textures reflect commonly found "background" configurations for many liveries, and will save repainters time by not having to get rid of the default colour schemes found in the original package before starting work. Please note that further templates will be issued to complement any future versions of the MAAM-SIM model. The intention is that those templates can be added to this base 'paintkit' folder, the methodology and basic instructions being similar for all paints. Where changes to the model invoke changes in texture mapping or other differences, this will be noted with each new package provided. VT6 MAAM TBM3 Avenger

File Description:
FS9 repaint of the MAAM TBM-3 Avenger. It represents an aircarft from VT-6 as embarked on USS Hancock (CV-19) in April 1945. This particular aircraft has had it's rudder replaced with one that has been around the block a time or 2! Repaint by Steve Bryant based on the TBM-3 of VT-17 (USS Hornet CV-12) original textures by Todd Disrud included in the MAAM Avenger package, and the paintkit by Jan Visser, which can be found on the Free Stuff page for the Avenger at www.maam.org.
