Bella Coola is in one of the deep east-west fjords amid the Coastal Range on the coast of BC, approximately mid way between Vancouver and the Alaskan border and some 70 miles inland from the open ocean. The town of Bella Coola has a small population of around 150, while the population of the whole Bella Coola Valley is around 2,000. The valley is warmer in both summer and winter than the surrounding area, and tourism flourishes along with forestry, fishing, and local government administration. Although there is road access, the ferry service is the main connection to larger coastal towns or cities such as Vancouver. The airport, 7 miles east of the town, is connected by daily Pacific Coastal flights to Vancouver and Anahim Lake (to the east). The asphalt runway is 4,200 feet long and aligned 04-22 in FS9 (by 2010 this had changed to 05-23 in reality) and is without lighting of any sort, so it is restricted to daylight hours only. At the eastern end is the terminal building and in the middle the West Coast Helicopter hangar, which has a large fenced paddock-like enclosure in front of it. The helicopters hop over the three feet high fence as they "taxi" to the apron in front of the hanger (but not in FS9!). Between the two there are four other company hangars spread out along the roadway beside the fence. I have never seen the airfield in Summer, and I have not attempted to replicate the apron as it now shows in Google Earth. The screenshots show the main and overwhelming feature of Bella Coola, the large valley amid the steep mountains. This terrain has an inevitable effect on the ai, in that you will never see a plane land as it hits solid rock before it makes it to the runway. You will, however, see them take off. Pacific Coastal currently flies Beechcraft 1900's to Bella Coola; I have used the Saab 340 which I have seen there some years ago and which I prefer.

Model features high resolution textures, dynamic flexing wings, nose gear steering, rudder lock, ground spoilers, low speed aileron locks at high speed, fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, trim animation, opening passenger doors, rolling wheels, animated thrust reversers with reverser block doors, detailed textures, full night lighting, ground service vehicles and more. Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-6A/C-118 - repainted by Manfred Meyer.
You need to download and install the latest Douglas DC-6A CB-16 base pack with model, sound and panel from the website calclassic.com.
These textures depict C-GPEG (c/n 43576), flying cargo for Willy Laserichs G-O Enterprise from Yellowknife throughout Canada's northwest. Its a former USAF C-118A and has been around a bit as the flags of all at these times visited nations attest. After civilianisation a talented young lady from Tucson painted the "Stage coach" nose art on it and in 1978 W. Laserich bought the plane. Later on she went to Northern Air Cargo of Alaska as N99330 and lost her colorful markings.

| South African Airways, Douglas C-47 (circa 1960) |

At the end of the war a number of ex-SAAF C-47 aircraft were transferred to South African Airways. They were soundproofed, fitted out for airline service and appointed as twenty-one seater aircraft. Although built as C-47's, in their civil guise they were know as the DC-3. A total of eight DC-3's served with SAA, the last being withdrawn in 1970. This Douglas C-47A-1-DK C/N 12049 was transferred from the SAAF in 1949 and was registered as ZS-BXG and given the name 'Piketberg'. It was transferred back to the SAAF in 1971 as 6887. Textures only. Prior installation of Manfred Jahn's outstanding FS2004 Douglas C-47 Base Pack is required. Repaint by Andre Reimers.

Thomas Cook UK repaint for A320 Pilot In Command from Wilco Publishing. The repaint is based on Textures Upgrade Pack, it's detailed and use semi-photorealistic textures. The paintscheme accuracy is based on the real aircraft pictures : this UK repaint is different from Thomas Cook Belgium Airlines (already available as a320pic_thomas_cook_airlines.zip), because of texts height and width, flags and markings. Exterior and Interior are customized, even passengers seats and the front panel in the flight deck has the registration plate of G-BXKD. This works on both FS 2002 and 2004. Full automatic installation, no aircraft.cfg editing is required. the Long Beach production plant for the USAAF as 43-15713.This plane was operated by the FAE Ala de Transporte 11 based at the Base Aérea Mariscal Sucre,Quito.Ex NC49745,REAL PP-YPJ, VARIG PP-YPJ, latter trasnfered to TAME services and lost the 12-09-71 near Cerro de Hojas. Fuerza Aerea Paraguaya C-47A-30-DL FAP-2011,C/N 9517 builded by the Long Beach City production plant for the USAAF as 42-23655.This plane flew first as TAM-43 and had utilised the callsign VH-CHE.Allround of 34 C-47s were utilised by the FAP ,mainly by the TAM(Transporte Aereo Militar-founded in 1954)with the Grupo de Transporte Aéreo at Asunción Silvio Pettirossi.
The base textures for repainting are by Mark Beaumont, original textures are by Jan Visser.Repainted by Daniel Nole.In order to use these textures, you must already have the MAAM-SIM payware DC3 and the MAAM-SIM D-Day C-47 'Skytrain'and Dakota Mk III Expansion Pack installed in your FS2004 aircraft folder.

Fuerza Aerea Venezolana C-47A-90-DL FAV-1250,C/N 20595 builded by the Long Beach City production plant for the USAAF as 43-16129.This plane was part of the original C-47s batch received in 1947 and was operative with the FAV to 1970.With the arrival of the C-130s to the Escuadrón de Transporte 1, was transfered to Aeropostal as YV-C-ANH and latter as YV-O-MOP-9.The base textures for repainting are by Mark Beaumont, original textures are by Jan Visser.Repainted by Daniel Nole.In order to use these textures, you must already have the MAAM-SIM payware DC3 and the MAAM-SIM D-Day C47 'Skytrain'and Dakota Mk III Expansion Pack installed in your FS2004 aircraft folder.
