Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 42

File Description:
We make stops in Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo (DRC) (4), Cameroon, Chad and Sudan. The first rain shower in Africa kick things off. We are now at the halfway mark in the Hopping Round the World Adventure since starting on August 3, 2003. 9 months have passed and 74,492 packs downloaded to date. 48 aircraft types, 427 takeoffs/landings and 69,856 miles flown so far. The upcoming packs take us back up towards Italy, the UK, France and Spain. Who can believe it? It’s now spring.

Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 53

File Description:
We make stops in India (7), Maldives and Sri Lanka (2). The only newbie to this pack is the FSFrance Project Mach2 Concorde. What a thrill flying this classic sleek bird up to 60,000ft. The Lear45 has a tough time taking off on the gravel runway but I know you can make it on the first leg. Some good chops as you ride past many thunderheads. So far, 537 takeoffs/landings and 96,937 miles flown.

Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 52

File Description:
We make stops in Oman (2), Iran, Pakistan (3) and India (4). Another test for HRW pilots: Speed brake down the mountain in a Learjet. Nice scenery while flying over Pakistan and India. The shortest runway so far in this adventure: 535ft. Can you takeoff? Don’t even try! Keep your King Air in one piece.

Hopping Round The World Adventure - Pack 41

File Description:
We make stops in Saudi Arabia (4), Bahrain, Qatar, Eritrea, Djibouti and Ethiopia (2). Nice flying over thunderheads at 42,000ft in a F15. What a view! Be careful taking off on the ninth leg since your Boeing 747-400 is fully loaded, the runway is kinda short then you have to avoid that building and mountain once you are airborne. Lots of miles flown in this pack.

Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 43

File Description:
We make stops in Egypt, Libya (5) and Algeria (4). We have officially begun the second half of the HRW Adventure. Newbies to this pack are the AST-SST2010 and Eric Cantu Boeing 727 and 737-700 with winglets (see readme). Good mixes of big iron as you make your rounds around Africa and some nice scenery as well.

Hopping Round The World Adventure - Pack 20

File Description:
My most difficult pack yet! I almost lost my bird on more than one ocassion. This HRW Adventure pack is how real-world pilots get into trouble. You might lose your plane during some critical phases of flight. Don't wreck your friend's LearJet. Things to ponder: Haven't used your de-icer yet in FS2004-you will unless you want ice buildup. Since AI pilots are bold enough to take off and land during these conditions I did the same. Everything starts out OK before it all goes bad quickly. You will run into a severe winter storm and unforgiving crosswinds and heavy winds for that matter. There is so much going on in this pack you will have little time to enjoy seeing Niagra Falls and the Statue of Liberty. Look for both once you take off. The only newbie in this pack is the iFDG 767. If this is how unforgiving winter is there is no telling what's in store once we head up next to Canada again, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Greenland and then onto Iceland. Well if you are still in one piece come join me. 207 takeoffs/landings and 32,970 miles flown so far.

Hopping Round The World Adventure - Pack 24

File Description:
Lots of nice short fields to test your mettle in Iceland and the Faroe Islands. I've got one word for HRW pilots - BISI, BISI, BISI. Landing at BISI is such a challenge no matter what runway you choose. Who can complain about the nasty weather, impossible approaches, wonderful scenery, and low visibility plus on the last leg fighting your stick to get your bird on the ground in one piece. Once you land you will be in the United Kingdom. Welcome Europe!

File Description:
We make stops in Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Lebanon, and Syria. On the second leg you will have your hands full attempting to land a Boeing 747-400. Don’t forget to speed brake down the mountain if you are approaching too fast. Why didn’t ATC turn on the runway lights during the daytime low visibility landings later in this pack? Hmm, maybe the airport doesn’t have any lights.

What do you tell ATC when you can’t see the runway? Lie and hope you find it before you really got a problem. Ever seen a LearJet dance in turbulence? We make stops in Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Iran. You will definitely enjoy the scenery of the 6th leg. What is a power station doing next to a huge water tank? Power up and get outta there. We are heading back north and making our way to Moscow, Ukraine, Slovakia, Germany, UK, Ireland etc… in the upcoming packs.
