File Description:
It was the most important Italian bomber of World War II, this tough three-engined aircraft established a reputation that contrasted with most Italian weapons of the day, and it was flown with courage and skill. SM.79s served widely in the normal bombing role, but it is as a land-based torpedo bomber that the type deserves its place in military aviation history, being regarded by many as one of the finest torpedo bombers of the war. In spite of its cumbersome appearance and outdated construction, with an internal provision for 2,750 lb (1,250 kg) of bombs, supplemented by under fuselage rack for a torpedo, the S.M.79 was a rugged, reliable multi-role medium bomber which did quite a bit of damage in the face of heavy opposition. About 1,300 production models were built over a nine year period. The SM.79 had a distinctive 'hump' on the upper forward fuselage, which housed both the fixed forward-firing heavy machine-gun and the dorsal gunner's position. Its appearance earned the aircraft the nickname 'Gobbo Maledetto' ('Damned Hunchback'). During the last phases of the war the surviving SM.79s were converted into various versions of utility transports and used in that role until 1952.

This Corrected Aircraft.cfg VERSION.7 dated OCTOBER 13th, 2003 Features the Following....
1. The DC-3 will now not level itself out on a coordinated turn
(This was the biggest issue and is now fixed)
2. Flaps now have a little more drag when used.
(Will realistically slow down for landings and you
wont roll down the runway so much)
3. Differential braking now has a little more power.
(Will realistically allow for tighter turns during taxi)
4. The DC-3 itself now has a little more power.
(Default version is underpowered and used up too much runway,
and.. Default version cruise speed was a little low).
5. Corrected Manifold pressure from 47" to 48" full power
(Default version had it slightly wrong)
6.Fuel is now down to 200 per tank
(Default has version was a little over)
7. All control surfaces, ailerons, rudder and elevators now have delay
(There is a certain lag time when flying a DC-3 and it now shows
with these corrections which delays your input to the controls)
8. Elevator trim is now fixed
(To much play in the default elevator trim , it is now fixed with
less play and also has a delay/lag effect)
9. Rudder trim now with delay/lag
10. Aileron trim now with delay/lag
11. Fuel Flow is now fixed, the DC-3 will burn 90 GPH instead of the original 118 GPH
12. Increased power scalar very slightly for correct cruise airspeed
13. Manifold pressure will decrease 1" MAP per 1,000 feet after 2,000 feet Altitude
13.Exactly 140 kias on full tanks at 9,000' ASL
14. Added Strobe Lights to the wings
15. Adjusted steering (just a tad) for better taxiing
16.Prop (rpm) and Power (map) throttles interact correctly
Took off some delay with ailerons and rudder
Removed some drag and pitch up from the flaps
Added more brake power to the differentials
17. Added a working NAV light to the Nose
I have also added a corrected DC-3 reference sheet". In the zip there are two aircraft.cfg's.. one is modified if you are already using the add-on for special effects.

"Euraka!" I cried in the middle of the night. My wife rolled over and mumbled "its not me, it must be the cat". But I was pleased with myself, for I had suddenly thought of a way to eliminate Microsoft's radiused corners where taxiway meets runway. They are a nifty arrangement, when you want them, but at this airport (clearly evidenced by Google Earth) they do not exist on the concrete connections. So here is a revised version of my Googlyafcad for WPDL Dili-Comoro-Komoro-Presidente Nicolau Lobato International or whatever it is called today. I considered calling this version 1.0062A so as to impress but I think you might prefer me to call it it version 2. Unfortunately, Microsoft's perception of this airport in Flight Simulator is a wee bit under scale and the ramp areas provided barely allow the parking of a flea, never mind the Boeing 737s that serve this airport. This A&F Data file allows you and "AI" traffic to land, park and take-off in the proper manner. But there is more . . . the Google Earth picture clearly shows three parked
helocopters, so to give the place a little atmosphere, I've provided an additional file which will place three static helicopters at the airport. They will only show if you have the Rwy12 libraries
installed, but the file won't bite if you don't. (replaces af2_wpdl.zip)

Thank you for downloading my first flightplan set in well over two years. While I'm not entirely satisfied with the results of this effort, enough changes in destinations, liveries, and aircraft numbers should be sufficient for those seeking an update to the two year old plans currently available.
The schedule used in the compilation of this flightplan set came directly from Jetblue's desktop schedule. Note: These flightplans do not include any of the charter flights Jetblue is well known for but do include the new routes and frequencies to Jamaica and elsewhere. For painters, here is an opportunity to work on the new Jetblue livery, Blueberries; three of which are currently in the JBU fleet.
JetBlue Airways is an American low-cost airline owned by JetBlue Airways Corporation (NASDAQ: JBLU). The company is headquartered in the Forest Hills neighborhood of the New York City borough of Queens.[2] Its main base is John F. Kennedy International Airport, also in Queens. In 2001, JetBlue began a focus city operation at Long Beach Airport in Long Beach, California, and another at Boston's Logan International Airport, in 2004. It also has focus city operations at Fort Lauderdale, Washington-Dulles and Orlando International Airport. P-51D Mustang 44-14789 "Missouri Armada" flown by Capt. John "Johnny" B. England.John Brooke England was born in 1923 at Caruthersville, Missouri. His service number was O-739263 and he joined the 362nd FS of the 357th FG in April 1943 as a 1/Lt meaning that he was part of the original cadre that left the ZI in November 1943 for the UK. He was promoted to Captain and then to Major. He took command of the 362nd FS on 25 August 1944. He served two tours with the 357th FG for a total of 108 operational missions giving a total of 460 hours combat flying time. He was the second highest scorer in the 357th with a total of 17.5 victories. England finished his second tour and rotated home on 26 January 1945. He remained in the service after the war and was killed in an F-86 crash in November 1954 in France. Alexandria Air Force base in Louisiana was renamed England Air Force Base in his honor. The aircraft was later assigned to Lt. Oscar Ridley, who renamed it "Sad Sack". The a/c was lost on 18 april 1945, with Lt Ridley evading capture. Trans Australian Airlines or Nationally known as TAA, was established in 1946 by the Commonwealth Government, which called the airline Australian National Airlines Commission which operated as TAA. Qantas assigned TAA to perfome its domestic routes in Australia as at that stage Qantas was flying Internation sectors. Taa began with Convair Cv-240 and then ended with the Airbus a300 which was purchaced in the Mid 1970's. TAA ceased opperations in 1989. Then Australian Airlines was born.
