File Description:
Boeing B-52 Stratofortress (Part 11). The B-52 first flew in 1952, the last one was built in 1961, and there are still over 90 of the original 744 airframes either in front-line service or in a ready-reserve status. With extensive avionics upgrades starting this year, the USAF plans on using the B-52s until 2045, 93 years after first flight. The aircraft has an impressive resume, having served in five shooting wars and was the backbone of Strategic Air Command's nuclear deterrent air component during almost forty years of Cold War service.
Jake Burrus started this AI traffic model a couple of years ago, and I was honored to pick up the project and get it across the finish line, with no small amount of help from Mike MacIntyre, as usual. This is a 7-LOD AI traffic model representing the Stratofortress in all of its operational service. This is part 11, showcasing the B-52H used from 1987 to 1992; with a total of 48 repaints. Also included are optional models for VFR traffic use. Aircraft model by Jake Burrus and Mike Pearson, master textures and repaints by Mike Pearson, flight dynamics by Mike MacIntyre. Boeing B-52 Stratofortress (Service Pack 2). This file corrects a significant XML issue with my JMAI B-52 model sets included in parts 9, 10, 11, and 12. I had re-arranged some of my XML code files and accidentally came up with a file that was missing some XML command lines for some of the animations for the aforementioned packages. There is also a texture update for the part 12 package. To sweeten the pain of this update (on my part, lol), I have thrown in some additional models, to include bonus loadouts and a couple of new model variants based upon this aircraft. Aircraft model by Jake Burrus and Mike Pearson, master textures and repaints by Mike Pearson, flight dynamics by Mike MacIntyre. Please read the documentation contained in the file.

Tupolev Tu-114. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model and texture package for this classic Russian airliner. The Tu-114 (NATO reporting name "Cleat"), with only 33 built and never exported, nevertheless made a distinct footprint in the golden age of air travel. The Tu-114 was well ahead of its time, and was faster than most of the first-generation jet airliners. Like other long-haul piston-engined aircraft of the era, the Tu-114 arrived just in time to be displaced by the dawn of commercial jet air travel. An original 9-LOD model brings this historic beast to the flightsim world. This package contains only one model, but has all 33 release serials representing various time periods from 1958-1991. Royal Air Force Dassault Mirage IVK/S. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for Marcel Dassault's follow-on to the immensely successful Mirage III family. Built in 1959, this aircraft served for over 40 years in the roles of strategic nuclear deterrence and strategic reconnaisance. An original 7-LOD model pays homage to this aircraft in the flightsim world. This package is a speculative study, if you will, of the might-have-been progression of this aircraft. The RAF expressed interest in the Mirage IV in the 1960s, but re-engined with the Rolls-Royce Spey turbofan which powered their versions of the F-4 Phantom II. Additionally, exploration was made to use technology from the unsuccessful BAC TSR project for the RAF Mirage IV. This package represents two variants, the Mirage IVK, essentially the IVA with RR Spey engines; and the Mirage IVS, the more re-designed aircraft incorporating some of the BAC TSR technology. Ultimately, this proposed variant did not become reality. In addition to the RAF, Israel, India, and France expressed interest, so paints from all four countries are included. Loadouts are generous, covering heavy strategic bombing, electronic warfare, precision strike, and the original nuclear and recce configurations. In total, there are 32 models and 50 repaints in this package. Lastly, I am including layered Photoshop paint kits for all variants in this package. Italian Air Force Tornado ADV, of 36 Stormo, 12 Gruppo; utilizing the full DSB Tornado base package, which is available at www.simviation.com (dsb_tornadof3_32.zip). The Italian Air Force leased these aircraft from the UK as a stopgap measure during their transition from F-104 until they acquired their current F-16 inventory. These aircraft have since been returned to the UK. This aircraft is very detailed, fun to fly, and is AI-friendly as well. Aircraft model and base textures by DSB Designs.
