LAN Airlines is a group of South American Airlines based in Santiago, Chile and part of LATAM Airlines Group, Latin America's largest Airline holding. LATAM was formed by the takeover by LAN of Brazilian TAM Airlines which was completed on June 22, 2012, although both companies operate with different certificates and liveries. Its headquarters is located in Las Condes, Santiago Province. Contact ground present this new texture pack with 6 detailed repaints Lan Argentina, Lan Chile, Lan Colombia, Lan Ecuador, LanCo and Lan One World only for for the payware Level-D B767-300 with winglets model. This is the result of my hardest work to repaint one of the greatest aircrafts i`ve had ever seen! The BIG MAMA A340-600, created for flightsimulator by Flightcraft group (thanks by that way). My paint is a fictionally one but i think that it is a MUST HAVE for every fan of this aircraft. I`ve included default panel and sound, so you can test it at first. Better will be the panel and sound from the Flightcraft-Group, you`ll find them here at Avsim. I hope that it will be ok for the Flightcraft-People but so the file size will be smaller. Special thanks go to Jarink, who is a repainter in IL-2/PF. Jarink was kind enough to send me his layered photoshop files of the Noseart that I used for these repaints. I also used his repaints as a guide for my repaints.
This texture represents "Ruby's Raiders" one of the B-17G Flying Fortresses of the 385th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force.The B-17G started seeing action with the 385th in November, 1943 and continued until the end of the war. The Checkerboard group markings on the tail were adopted in February, 1945.
"Ruby's Raiders" was named after Cpl Ruby Newell, a WAAC serving in the UK. She was the winner of a WAAC beauty contest and her likeness was painted on the plane by Cpl Ploss of the 385th. Assigned to the 550th Squadron. This aircraft returned to the USA.
