Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 61

File Description:
We make stops in New Zealand (6), New Caledonia (2) and Vanuatu (2). The King Air 350 gets us going in this pack and in a latter leg bounces around like a pinball with thunderstorms in the vicinity. The Concorde did very well in landing in such choppy air but enough to make any passenger scared. We are now doing some Pacific Island hopping then it’s onto Hawaii! Hang in there, lots more miles to fly…

We make stops in French Polynesia (4), Kiribati and Hawaii (5). Go fast! Go slow! When all is said and done its nice to be in the Hawaiian Islands! Leg 0642 starts off easy but the high altitude landing takes real-world skill. You’re at the controls so the decision is all yours! Tip – Finding a way to slow down should be a priority!

File Description:
16,178 ft. The longest runway yet in the HRW Adventure is in Russia. Such a thrill of landing my 747-400 without braking and using up the entire runway. Decisions, decisions – What are the in-flight procedures once your ETOPS (Extended Twin Operations) jetliner loses an engine and fails to restart? Oh well, its up to you to land your bird on just one good engine in low visibility. That’s skill. Moderate rain gets this pack underway. We are getting closer to Moscow.

With his deep pockets and sense of adventure he challenges you to fly around the world. Not just any flight of course but Hopping Round the World. Your goal is simple. Stay alive and get to the final destination point wherever that may be. Your biggest fear is the unknown; weather, airports, equipment failures, etc... File Description:
Our first stop back in the USA is the great state of Texas. So far our equipment has held up nicely through South America, the Caribbean and Central America. Everything mechanical breaks down once in a while so there is no telling what is in store as we continue our adventure. With some new airplanes added in Pack 12 you will have to learn the nuances of each type and focus on staying in one piece. The weather has been good lately but as always, no telling what is in store. Lots of interesting places to visit as we hop around the USA.

Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 12

File Description:
Truth or Consequences? Yes! There is such a place in the USA. I know that FS2004 has grass runways but it was interesting to see KTCS with a paved runway and multiple grass runways as well. Get you mower humming. Don't let the sun in your eyes affect your dusk landing in the mountains. This pack should separate the men from the boys. How does the saying go? Be careful what you wish for because you might get it. Finally the equipment failures creep up and bite you if you don't pay attention. Decision, decision. What will you do? Do you know how to hand crank your landing gears. No belly flopping allowed. Luck may be on your side this day as every pilot will attest. Remember, you must make it to your assigned destination. No excuses!

File Description:
So far, you have survived Hopping Round the World Adventure Pack 1. Landing the second leg was quite an eye opener about what is in store in this adventure. Some airports seem to disappear right before your eyes while landing. Put that IFR to use or you're done for. Mountains and hilltops to close for comfort? As your adventure continues over the Brazilian landscape you end up in the Amazon. Handle that Boeing 747-400 Cargo as you complete the last leg. More real-world weather and sim surprises for sure. Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 5

File Description:
With South America behind us, we make a brief stop in Venezuela and continue to the Caribbean. Landing in Trinidad, you experience a moonrise and awesome sunset. Hopping and skipping along in more prop power than before and soon we will be past the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and others into Jamaica, the Bahamas and Orlando, Florida. Rumors has it that once we leave The Florida Keys its on towards Cuba and Central America following with more stops in the United States. We are not even halfway yet.
