Myasishchev 3M-T 'Atlant' (atlas)
In the mid 1970's the USA began the development of a re-usable space transport system that soon became universally known as the Space Shuttle. The Soviet Union responded by launching the development of a similar system, known generally as the 'BURAN' (SnowStorm).
To transport the components of the 'Buran' orbiter and 'Energia' space launch vehicle to the Baikonur, Kazakhstan launch site, the Myasishchev OKB proposed using the 3M bomber as a carrier.
Engineering changes to the three 3MN 'Bison-B' tankers selected for conversion to transports included a 7 meter up-swept fuselage extension, twin end plate square vertical stabilizers, and strengthened out-rigger struts.

Out of their hub in Riga (Latvia), Air Baltic is operating scheduled flights to Alesund, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bergen, Berlin, Billund, Brussels, Chisinau, Copenhagen, Dubai, Dublin, Dushanbe, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Geneva, Gothenburg, Hamburg, Helsinki, Istanbul, Kaliningrad, Kaunas, Kiev, Kuopio, Lappeenranta, London, Milan, Minsk, Moscow, Munich, Oslo, Oulu, Palanga, Paris, Pskov, Rome, Stavanger, St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Tallinn, Tampere, Tartu, Tashkent, Tel Aviv, Tbilisi, Turku, Venice, Vienna, Vilnius, Warsaw and Zurich using a large fleet of Boeing 737, Boeing 757 and Fokker F50. Also included are the new flights from Vilnius as well as charter services to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. Have fun!

This file contains textures for the outstanding Spartan Executive freeware aircraft created by Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas and Urs Burkhardt. The included skins are 32 bit for increased detail. The full airplane may be downloaded from Avsim.com as spartan.zip The US Army Air Force and a small number of 3rd world countries purchased the Spartan Executive as an VIP transport. 16 of which were purchased by the USAAF. The vast majority of these aircraft appeared in Olive Drab and gray colors. This paint represents the pre-war period, 1937-1940 when the plane may have appeared in bare metal and national colors similar to other aircraft of the period. A handful of Spartans still flying today began life as one of the original 16 UC-71's.

New version of previous MATS (Military Air Transport Service) Lockheed C-121A model by the same author (lockheed_c121a.zip, 2007). It is not necessary to remove previous plane, this will be placed as a new Aircraft model.
Highly improved Virtual Cockpit with 45 levers and switches, more than 100 other gauges, main and Flight Engineer commands etc, all working. This complexity has certain impact on rather sluggish instrument needles, but I hope it could be compensated by other flying qualities. For FS9 (FS2004), but can be used in FSX with some restrictions (FSX Note included). Lockheed C-121 with the "A" prefix was the military version of the L-749 model. The US Air Force ordered ten C-121As in 1948 but only nine were built.

Douglas C-47 B-25-DK, C/N 32844 served with East African Airways from 1952 to 1964 as VP-KJQ. Reregistered in 1964 as 5Y-AAE. Sold to Debon-Air in 1977 and registered as ZS-OJE. Prior installation of Manfred Jahn's Douglas C-47 Base Pack (C-47_BASEPACK_FS9.ZIP) is required. Repaint by Andre Reimers.
