DBWsim: Saipan Kobler Field

File Description:
Scenery for the disused Kobler Field on Saipan. This Scenery is the second in a series of scenery packs for historically important WWII airfields in the Marianas Islands. (The first pack being North Feild Tinian scenery, NField_DWebb100.zip). This Scenery pack shows Kobler NAS much as it appears today, after being closed in the 1970's due to degradation of it's runway. This pack is a standalone scenery and does not require any other DBWsim sceneries to function (although it does require Gerrish Grey's Tree's.)

PAMALICAN ISLAND RESORT SCENERY, PAMALICAN ISLAND, PHILIPPINES Version 1.0 July 19,2003 Pamalican Island Resort Scenery is located at Pamalican Island,in the group of Quiniluban Islands,Philippines.It is situated north northwest of Cuyo Island, and south southwest of Mindoro Island.The scenery features an 800-meter gravel airstrip with papi lights and ndb shack.It also features floating resort cottages, resort hotels, static vehicles, yachts, animated bancas, cows, horses, local resident's houses and a small terminal at the ramp more or less similar to the Bantayan terminal.This scenery is an ideal CUYO- PAMALICAN- BUSUANGA- EL NIDO- SANDOVAL- PUERTO PRINCESA adventure short hops. Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base (NKP)

File Description:
A model of Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base (NKP). Situated in the far northeast corner of Thailand right across the Mekong River from Laos, NKP was the smallest, remotest, and most primitive of the Thai airbases utilized by the US Air Force. Many of the operations conducted at NKP were top-secret. NKP was the headquarters of "Task Force Alpha", the underground command center directing "Arc Light" bombing of the Ho Chi Minh trail. The 56th Air Commando Wing employed a variety of fixed wing aircraft and helicopters for interdiction, close air support, psychological warfare, search and rescue, forward air control, and clandestine insertion and extraction of special operations personnel in Laos and North Vietnam. One of the key covert missions conducted at NKP was "Operation Igloo White", which involved the planting and monitoring of electronic sensors along the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Air America used NKP as a base to supply the various hill tribes in Laos. This is the fourth in a series of Vietnam War era Thai airbase models. (It was preceded by Ubon, Udorn, and Korat.) Note: This scenery requires the trees_v3.zip object library by Gerrish Gray.

Gold Coast/Coolangatta International Airport

File Description:
Coolangatta Airport is located 90 k's South of Brisbane in Queensland Australia. This is a very detailed scenery with photorealistic textures adding to the realism. Surrounding suburbs are also depicted and it is possible to make a runway 14 approach with a high level of realism. AFCAD file is included as well as map and runway guide.

DBWsim: West Feild Tinian

File Description:
The third in DBWsim Design's series of historic WWII airfields in the Marianas Islands is Tinian West Field (which follows up scenery packs for Kobler Field Saipan and North Field on Tinian.). This scenery is a stand alone package and does not require any other DBWsim scenery packages to be fully functional (but it does need Gerrish Grey's trees: trees_v3.zip) West Field Tinian is still in use today as Tinian's main airport. The remains of the WWII B-24 field, including the parallel runway adjacent to the current Airport are still visible. You will notice that there has been significant degradation and overgrowth of the field by tropical foliage. Still visible in this scenery are numerous hard stands and support buildings in varying degrees of disrepair.
