New 300-m (LOD7) Terrain Mesh of British Columbia and Southeast Alaska #2 Download

File Description:
Mid-resolution (300-m) terrain mesh for the entire province of British Columbia (950,000 square km) and the Alaska panhandle southeast of N60 W139. Made from 250m-resolution source data without oversampling. Easy on frame rates and hard drive space. It transforms the rounded mountains of the default terrain mesh into a much more realistic representation of the diverse topography of this beautiful corner of the world. Experience the spectacular scenery between Vancouver and Atlin, Juneau and Fort St. John, and Mount Robson to Clayoquot Sound. Fourteen independent mesh tiles allow you to select the region(s) you like best. Several high-resolution add-on meshes will be uploaded separately. By Holger Sandmann. Part 2 of 4: All areas between 54 and 57 degrees North.

PA-MD-VA, Rel 2.0, 39 Airports Download

File Description:
Almost ten months in the making and thousands of trees "planted" but I think its finally as good and as real as I can make it. 39 high quality airports for viewing with Lagos FSSE (SP2 minimum), from the largest international airports down to the smallest dirt strips, covering parts of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia (coming soon Delaware). This version is designed to be viewed at extremely dense settings and still give the best frame rate possible and supersedes Rel 1 which was designed for a dense setting. ALL the airports have had face lifts as well as upgrades in night lighting. Includes 5 large international airports, 7 regional airports, 26 general aviation airports, and 3 seaplane areas. Trust me, these are purty cool 'ports :-) Designs by Lauren Robison, edited by Shaun Fletcher.

NY-New York City, Central Park Area Terrain Mesh (10m) Download

File Description:

Take a break and enjoy Sunday afternoon in the park. This high resolution mesh demonstrates the amount of detail FS2002 is able to display.

But you will not see any improvement in the park if you are still using the default value of TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=19 (in the [TERRAIN] section) of your fs2002.cfg file! This value is adequate for the default mesh, but will not display all the additional detail available in mesh constructed from 30m or better source data. I recommend a value of 21 for the most detail, but a value of 20 may be preferable if FPS is a serious problem.

Hop in your favorite helicopter, depart from La Guardia (KLGA) airport, and head west toward the city. (If you are new to helicopters, set your Aircraft realism to Easy and turn off Crash Detection while getting started - and relax in this scenic park!)
