Florida Landclass Scenery

File Description:
Moon over Miami. Fly the Sunshine State under a full moon or in the bright sunshine and you will see a vast improvement in the default scenery if you use the Joe Watson, Bob Brown, Florida Landclass Scenery Files. Created from the U.S. Geological Survey National Landcover Database and hand edited by Joe and Bob this is the most accurate scenery available for the State of Florida. Six individual bgls transform the default scenery into a recognizable landscape as you fly from the Keys, up the East Coast over Miami, and Fort Lauderdale then out over the Everglades on your way past Tampa to the Panhandle all the way to just east of New Orleans near Slidell and Bogalusa.

Willis Gliderport, 1X4.

File Description:
1X4, Willis Gliderport, now designated FA44 by the FAA is a private community airport located in Boynton Beach, Florida. It was developed by my good friend Bill Willis who was my mentor when I was learning to fly gliders with the Central Florida Soaring Club which he supported and maintained for many years. This glider club operated from this airport for many years. This scenery file for FS2002 is a tribute to Bill and all he has accomplished and for all of the people he has supported and mentored over the years and to the friendly folks who live at the gliderport. Big Cypress Swamp Airstrips

File Description:
A package of 3 'bush-style' airstrips set in Big Cypress National Preserve, Florida - something of a rare destination for most FS2002 bush pilots! They're not to be confused with the nearby 5600ft paved runway owned by the Seminole Indian tribe: these are all just very rudimentary dirt or grass strips in the middle of a swamp. The airstrips do exist in reality, however based on recent satellite imagery I think they're now disused. A second cluster of Big Cypress airstrips can be found further south (across Alligator Alley) although these being very slightly more developed are part of the default FS2002 scenery library.
