The airport “Dimokritos” is located at the Northeastern outskirts of Greece.The airport is located near the city of Alexandroupolis, in the province of Evros. The airport is mainly used by Greek airlines such as: Olympic Airways, Olympic Aviation, Aegean Airlines, Macedonian Airlines, the Armed Forces (HAF-Hellenic Air Force, HAA-Hellenic Army Aviation), providing accommodation for some local general aviation aircraft, as well.

Mesa Airlines flies Beech 1900D aircraft from bases in Albuquerque (KABQ) and Dallas (KDFW). Includes 549 scheduled weekly flights.
