Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia Version 2

File Description:
This is a rebuild of my original version of Redcliffe Airport situated in the northern suberbs of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.This version is a fairly close representation of the real thing which is the home of 2 flying schools. Many ga and also sport aircraft are hangered here. Watch out for the swamp at either end of the runway.... quite a few aircraft over the years have landed there by accident! Redcliffe is also notorious for crosswinds which can make takeoffs and landings interesting at this airport. Also included is an AI Traffic file for those that want AI Traffic, requires AFCAD and Traffictools.

American Airlines Boeing 737-200 (FFX/SGA)

File Description:
This is a repaint of one of the 737-200 AA inherited from it's aquisition of AirCal in the late 80s. AirCal operated a 737-200/300 fleet as well as some BAe 146. AA repainted all three of those types for use on the west coast for a few years. This is an accurate repaint down to the small details. Model contains dynamic shine and the metal textures I designed myself so I used a light alpha channel as to not overkill the aircraft. Aircraft is by FFX and is GMAX with all the goodies.

British Airways Boeing 777 "Chelsea Rose"

File Description:
This repaint contains 3 versions of the BA chelsea Rose livery. A Factory Fresh clean version, a slightly dirty version and an extremely dirty version. All that under 5MB! For those less experienced with playing around with aicraft textures, I advised reading the README file, it'll show you how to use the 3 different version of the texture. Zip file contains the whole aircraft. Just unzip into your FS aircraft folder. Model is the GE-90 777-200ER my Melvin Rafi (www.meljet.com) All textures are 100% hand drawn. No Photos used for textures what-so-ever.

Gmax Poly Count Summary

File Description:
Several gmax source files were downloaded from the public domain and the data contained in the "Summary Information " has been tabulated into an Excel97 workbook. If you are, or are going to become, a gmax designer, this data will provide an insight into how many polygons are used for various features. Depending on the application, it will range from over a 1000 for a single tire on a highly detailed aircraft, to about 1500 for an entire aircraft intended for AI use only. The workbook is macro free and presents no danger to your computer. You do need Excel to view the data.

This Flight Simulator model is built with Aircraft Designer 2002 and features a 616 Kb model file, transparent 32-bit propellers, DXT3 texturing and 16036 polygons in 120 assemblies exactly.
