FS2002 Val-U-Prop Plane and Panel

File Description:
FS2002 Val-U-Prop Douglas DC-3 Plane and Panel Val-U-Prop is a (fictional) rogue airline based in Bloomington, Indiana, that flies everything from VIPs to sheep manure anyplace and anytime. VP's motto is "No job too small; No fee too large," and our DC-3's and DC-6's can be seen hedge-hopping into various obscure airports throughout the USA. Based on the lovely DC-3 Pluna by Daniel Gazzano, this aircraft is a re-paint of the fabulous DC-3 OH-LCH by Jan Visser, Erik Ellis, Roy Chaffin, Ian Roper and Bill Rambow, to which FS2002 lights have been added. Panel includes everything on main panel, except for GPS, so there is no tabbing. (Default pop-up radio stack is also included.) Panel is based on photographs by Bill Blanchard (lower panel) and Shawn Clark (upper). The very aluminal wing views were shot by Thomas Andre Hjelmen, and the 1930s cabin was photographed by Ben Wang and is populated with various VIPs. Newport News/Williamsburg Intl Airport (FSSE)

File Description:
This is my absolute first try at any scenery work. This is a fairly accurate representation of the NNWIA (PHF). The scenery adds updated terminal buildings, jetways, ground support, ect. My focus was mostly on the terminal and GA area. The maint. section near where the two runways meet was mostly imrovised. Although I have been to this airport dozens of times, I have never seen this area (reason why my focus was on the terminal area :-) ). Newport News Airport is a small international airport which is only serviced by three major airlines (and small jets). AirTran flies Boeing 717s (using the only two jetways), ASA Delta Connection flies CRJs, and US Airways express flies Dash 8s. Small GA used by NOAA and charter (as well as some ex-military jets) park here.

WestWind Airlines

File Description:
This file is for WestWind pilots ONLY. This file adds WestWind Airlines aircraft to your A/I traffic and flightplans. Flights are CONUS only, no OS flights. Feel free to add your own OS flights. You must have TTools by Lee Swordy, you must also have the Airbus 380, MD-83, B-747-400, ERJ-145XR, Beech 1900D, ATR 42-300, B-757-200, A-330-200, and the Baron 58 Repaint. All aircraft are downloadable from the WestWind website. You must be a WestWind Member. Make sure to read my instructions completely before beginning. Now you can fly any aircraft you wish, and you will see and hear WestWind flights taking off and landing at your airports. Cork Airport File 1.0

File Description:
This is the first file of a few files I will be releasing for Cork Airport Ireland {EICK} in FS2002. This is just a small, basic Afcad file to correct the parking at Cork airport. This Afcad file will make all the aircraft at Cork airport {including your aircraft}, park sideways against the building as in real life at Cork airport, instead of parking facing the building. All the starting points will also change to a sideways heading of 166. This will also change the gate numbers and will stop the atc using the term 'parking' all the time. It will change gate 1 to medium, gate 2 to heavy, gate 3 to small, gate 4 to medium {cargo}, parking 5 to ramp GA small, parking 6 to ramp GA small, and parking 7 to ramp GA small. All runways {17/35,07/25}, taxiways, traffic, and atc have been left alone. Parking and buildings are a mess at Cork airport in FS2002, therefore, the file is not perfect. I plan to release further traffic and scenery files for Cork airport in the future. This file requires AFCAD by Lee Swordy. Details of where to get it within download. The progressive taxi instructions will also not change, neither will the pink line on the taxiways. The pink line will not turn sideways at the gates, but you must turn and park sideways at a heading of around 166 to park properly.

Hunter AAF & Tybee Island

File Description:
Made from satilite photos, a fair representation of Hunter Army Air Field/CGAS Savannah, CGS Boat Station Tybee Island, Tybee Island lighthouse, ships, and Ft Pulaski, a Civil War Fort guarding the mouth of the Savannah River. Hunter AAF has most of the hangars on the main ramp represented with custom macros. Ramp is full of CH-47 Chinook, AH-64 Apache, HH-65 Dauphin helicopters and C-12 US Army Twin Props, as well as ground support vehicles. Tybee Island is under the approach to KSVN from the east and sits in the middle of the Savannah River. CGS Tybee Island is located there, a CG Boat Station with docks and a helipad (on the real tennis court location, sorry) and Ft Pulaski, a Civil War fort, the first duty station of a young Lt. Robert E. Lee, complete with cannons on the ramparts. Across the river in the town of Tybee Island is a working Tybee Island Lighthouse. Ramp statics can be easily removed if you prefer your own AI. Requires NOVA textures, a free download.

Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base (NKP)

File Description:
A model of Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base (NKP). Situated in the far northeast corner of Thailand right across the Mekong River from Laos, NKP was the smallest, remotest, and most primitive of the Thai airbases utilized by the US Air Force. Many of the operations conducted at NKP were top-secret. NKP was the headquarters of "Task Force Alpha", the underground command center directing "Arc Light" bombing of the Ho Chi Minh trail. The 56th Air Commando Wing employed a variety of fixed wing aircraft and helicopters for interdiction, close air support, psychological warfare, search and rescue, forward air control, and clandestine insertion and extraction of special operations personnel in Laos and North Vietnam. One of the key covert missions conducted at NKP was "Operation Igloo White", which involved the planting and monitoring of electronic sensors along the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Air America used NKP as a base to supply the various hill tribes in Laos. This is the fourth in a series of Vietnam War era Thai airbase models. (It was preceded by Ubon, Udorn, and Korat.) Alaska Bush Scenery: Coghill Lake

File Description:
Situated off College Fiord at the upper end of Prince William Sound, Coghill Lake is conveniently positioned for stopping off en-route between the Anchorage & Valdez areas. It's the actual location of a holiday cabin owned by the US Forest Service which can only be reached by floatplane, however I've added 2 airstrips to the area for extra interest. Coghill's main landing strip is sandy & partially overgrown, but has a good available length of 635m/2100' and some low-intensity edge lights. Ample parking for visitors is provided in a separate ramp area amongst the trees, reached via a basic but lit & signposted taxiway. Adjacent access by floatplane is possible using the small lagoon, as well as by College Fiord itself for larger loads. The other strip, a mile southwest across the river, only gets seasonal use by agricultural aircraft for spraying the local conifer plantations; its narrow gravel runway is slightly shorter at 588m/1930' & is a more challenging proposition with the surrounding trees and heavy brush all encroaching on the landing strip. Includes 2 versions: 1 for Eddie Denney's FS2002 mesh (recommended as this makes the airstrip profiles uneven), and another for both Eddie Denney's FS2000 mesh and the default mesh.

Nam Phong Royal Thai Air Force Base (Scenery Upgrade)

File Description:
A model of Nam Phong RTAFB as it appeared in mid-1972 when much of it was still under construction. Nam Phong was originally an obscure Thai Air Force training facility located about 60 miles south-southeast of the large USAF/Air America base at Udorn. In response to increasing NVA attacks in the Central Highlands of South Vietnam, the US Marine Corps transferred three fighter/attack squadrons (known as "Task Force Delta")from Da Nang to Nam Phong. A new 10,000 ft. concrete runway was built, and roads, aircraft parking and housing/storage areas were hacked out of the jungle by a joint USN/USMC engineering team. Nam Phong was nicknamed "The Rose Garden" in jest due to the extremely primitive conditions that existed there when the Marines first arrived. The nickname was borrowed from the Marine Corps advertising slogan, "We don't promise you a rose garden", which in turn was inspired by the lyrics of a popular country & western song by Lynn Anderson. The three USMC fighter/attack squadrons that took up permanent residence at Nam Phong were the VMFA-115 "Silver Eagles", the VMFA-232 "Red Devils", and the VMA(AW)-533 "Nighthawks." This enhanced model supercedes the Nam Phong scenery that was uploaded three years ago. It should be compatible with FS 2004. Requires the trees_v3.zip object library by Gerrish Gray.
