The taxiways were added using the program by Peter Jacobson. No custom models were created for this scenery. The Iowa City Municipal Airport, opened in 1918, is the oldest airport west of the Mississippi River still in its original location. The very first air mail flights flew through Iowa City, and many of the early pioneers of flight landed here, including Will Rogers, Wiley Post, Charles Lindbergh, and Jack Knight.

North Platte Regional Airport Lee Bird Field (KLBF)

File Description:
TerraModels Scenery Development System by Allen Kriesman and Biber Salsa models were used to create the scenery for North Platte Regional Airport Lee Bird Field (KLBF), Nebraska. The taxiways were added using the program by Peter Jacobson. No custom models were created for this airport. Using fuel burning barrels to demarcate the perimeter, the airfield became the site of the first night airmail flight on February 22nd, 1921, when the daring Jack Knight flew a night segment of the first transcontinental airmail flight.
