Wien Air Alaska '1984' Boeing 727-277 Adv. Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the 727-277 in Wien Air Alaska 1984 colors. The freeware 727-200 by Tenkuu Developers Studio (TDS) is needed for this repaint. Wien Air Alaska was Alaska’s oldest major airline, and one of America's oldest. They inaugurated their first scheduled flights between Fairbanks and Nome on June 20, 1927. Wien operated various piston airliners before they formally entered the turboliner era with the acquisition of 2 Fairchild F-27As in 1958-59. In the early 1970s Wien was making good profits. However, 1977 was a particularly bad year as their pilots went on a major strike, and they posted a net loss of $742,000; a substantial amount for the airline. They made a recovery in 1979-80. Their route system was 10,500 miles long and they flew to over 150 points in Alaska, Canada, and Seattle. By 1981 their revenues climbed 42.8% to $180.7 million, the highest ever for the airline. However, further financial problems hit Wien heavily and they closed for business on November 28, 1984. Wien had 4 727-200s in their fleet. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.

Aero Fleet Pack 3 Download

File Description:
Aeroflot began in March 1923 as Dobrolet with a mixed fleet of De Havilland, Vickers, Junkers and other aircraft. Dobrolet merged into Dobroflot in 1929 and flew all services within Russia. By 1932 the airline was called Aeroflot. After the second world war international sevices began. At one stage Aeroflot had a massive fleet of over 7,500 aircraft although this fleet was pretty much ALL the civilian aircraft in the former Soviet Union. Aeroflot began the world's first sustained jet airline service using Tupolev Tu-104 'Camel' jets (developed from the Tu-16 'Badger' bomber) on an extensive internal route network from the summer of 1955. The Tu-104 saw service until the mid-1970s. After the breakup of the Soviet Union Aeroflot broke up into lots of smaller carriers and became known as Aerflot - Russian International Airlines. Aeroflot began using leased Boeing 767s and 737-400s alongside the older soviet types and with a revised livery. The Russian flag replaced the Red Flag. Airline history supplied by http://airlines.afriqonline.com. The third release contains the Aeroflot Ilyushin aircraft. Contents of the packs include textures and aircraft files. Aircraft models are by Dmitry Olenin and Mike Stone and are included. These packages support MRAI fightplans for WI04.

Transglobe Airways Canadair CL-44 1968 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the Canadair CL-44 in Transglobe Airways colors. You need the freeware Canadair CL-44 by Mike Stone. In 1967 Transglobe petitioned the ATLB for scheduled licenses to North America but were turned down, but in April 1968 they got their wish and were granted wide charter privileges. They consequently received their first CL-44 then, followed by two more soon after in readiness for the summer season. However disaster struck when Bolton steamship, which held 42% of the airlines shares, and the Liverpool based shipping group, Ocean Steamship, which invested 200,000 pounds in the carrier and held 11.6% of the shares, both pulled out, forcing the carrier to collapse on November 28, 1968. Textures are 32bit dds. This aircraft was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX and FS2004. Textures are 32bit bmp. This aircraft was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX and FS2004. *This is strictly an FS2004 model. However, I used it on FSX-SE by replacing the FS2004 panel and gauges with an FSX 2D panel, and it worked well. I have included two internet links for users of FSX, who wish to fly the aircraft, with easy instructions on how to go about replacing the FS2004 panels with FSX ones.

Republic F-105 Thunderchief (Part 2) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Republic F-105 Thunderchief (Part 2). This is another Jake Burrus aircraft I have been able to bring to the flightsim world. Originally introduced in 1958 as a low-level nuclear weapons delivery aircraft in the middle of the Cold War, this aircraft became the backbone of conventional bombing during most of the Vietnam War. As a testament to the aircraft's role, the bravery of its pilots, and the ferocity of the North Vietnamese air defense network, nearly half of the 833 airframes were lost in combat operations. Due to the extensive combat use of the Thud, it had a relatively short service life, with limited use after Vietnam, until the aircraft's final retirement in 1984.

This is part 2 of 2 parts, and represents the use of the F-105D/F/G from 1966-1984; to include 35 model variants and 130 repaints. Aircraft model by Jake Burrus and Mike Pearson, master textures and repaints by Mike Pearson, flight dynamics by Mike MacIntyre. Please read the documentation contained in the file.
