This is an update (v2.0) to my original FSX repaint and my interpretation of the PMDG 747-400F Queen of the Skies (D-ABYA) and how Lufthansa could celebrate it's 40th anniversary of operating Boeing 747's this year. The repaint now features a chrome underside as worn by the 747-130 variant first introduced with Lufthansa and depicts a custom hybrid scheme based on a blend of three Lufthansa liveries of the past and present.
The aircraft was painted using the PMDG paintkit and features DDS DXT5 and updated day and night textures.
PMDG 747-400 for FSX required. See readme for important installation instructions and enjoy the repaint.

That supplement is adding two countries to our packages, Israel and the Republic of Korea, with a 737-800, a passengers 747-400 and a cargo 747-400 each. Just keep flying the world! In January 2018, Delta retired its last Boeing 747, ending a 47 year career for the fleet type that began in the 1970s. Known as the “Queen of the Skies,†the 747 is one of the most popular and recognizable aircraft in the world. While Delta's early 747s were returned back to Boeing in 1977, Northwest continued to grow its fleet with 747-100s, -200s, and eventually -400s in 1989. They formed the backbone of Northwest's strong transpacific network.
The first Boeing 747-400 ever built, N661US, was retired from service in September 2015 after logging more than 61 million miles. Now it sits preserved as an exhibit at the Delta Flight Museum in Atlanta. This repaint pays tribute to the 747 and all the employees who fueled its success. Painted on the great Project Opensky model. Enjoy!

This is the 2012 Skyspirit Boeing 747-800 model, updated November 2012, including ground servicing, stairs. Upgraded using the vastly improved Boeing 747 VC. It includes FMC, EICAS, MFD with control panel, GPWS, working wipers, cabin lights, fire suppression, avionics switch, fuel crossfeed, landing lights switches, taxi light switch, engine generators, APU generator, battery switch, starter switches, de-ice switch, general lights switches. Thank you to Skyspirit for their outstanding donations to the worldwide community of flight simulation. TIGERLILY textures designed by me are fictional. Also includes the Boeing 747 VC textures upgrade. This give a much clearer 747 interior virtual cockpit look. Complete package.Works perfectly in P3D up to Vers. 4.4

This is a repaint of the 747-131 in TWA 'Star Stream' colors. The freeware 747-200 'Ready For Pushback' - RFP is needed for this repaint. This is a repaint of TWA 747-131, delivered to TWA on February 23 1970 and flew for the carrier until September 1997. The actual aircraft, as mentioned above, was a 747-100, as RFP only has the 200 model, I used that model for the repaint. Also, I have used the FSX version of the RFP model that was converted from FS2004 to FSX by a dedicated simmer named Andiroto. A link for his conversion is provided. For the FS2004 users, the RFP 747-200 is available here on Avsim. The file is: "rfp_v2.zip". Textures are 32bit DDS. This repaint was tested FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.

Reupload: On 31/03/2014 the last passenger Japanese 747 was retired a year to the day. For this occasion, I have created a repaint for the PMDG 747-400 of JA8961 which was the last to be retired. In Japan this aircraft is known as the "Final Jumbo". This variant of the 747-400 is the "D" version which is a specifically designed 744 for the Japanese Domestic market which operates between Tokyo, Chitose, Fukuoka, Naha, Hiroshima, Komatsu, Nagasaki, and Hakodate. In order to use it correctly, after loading the aircraft into the simulator and being parked at the gate, go to "Addons - PMDG - options" and select "various" and endure that the "winglets" feature is UNTICKED in order to activate the correct 747-400D variant. Textures only, you will need the payware PMDG 747-400X model for this repaint to work.

Evergreen 747-22TF repaint for the Project Open Sky 747 v4 series. This repaint depicts NEV490, a GE powered freighter. The colors and logos depicted here are accurate to the best of my ability. I've been interested in historic 747's for several years now. These liveries are familiar to me as an outgrowth of my experiences with the Historic Jetliners Group.
