How to Make a Profile just for Flight Simulator - an Illustrated Tutorial. Windows XP allows mutiple "boot" profiles in which you can disable hardware and peripheral devices that may not be needed while playing games such as FS2004. The theory is that if Windows does not need to load every hardware device you have, more computer resources will be available for your game. This tutorial will show you how to create and use such a profile. Compiled in .doc format for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

This archive contains an image import file containing thumbnails - or Image Files for use with Library Object Manager (LOM)- Version 1.0+ Program to Manage FS9 Library Objects and Create Scenery by ScruffyDuck Software, Jon Masterson. This is an image collection of 2 static helicopters and 9 other helicopter pads - Requires LOM (available on this site) and EZ Scenery Library ez-helicopters_and_pads.zip also available on this site. Also included is a set of higher resolution screenshots to upgrade those images imported into LOM. Higher resolution screenshots are suitable for printing an index or contact sheet of images. An EZ Object Library of the Helicopter Landing Trainer (HLT) by David Sreet. The model is based upon a real training vessel which is stationed at Pensacola Florida. This ship can be placed in your scenery using the EZ or Instant Scenery Object Placing programs. My thanks to Mr. Street for granting permission to compile and upload this library. Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the easy installation instructions. Note: The deck of this ship is not hardened so you cannot land a Helicopter on it. To harden the deck, please download - afc_hard.zip -. This is an Illustrated Tutorial which shows how to easily harden such surfaces using the Afcad program. Compiled for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

Improper display of aircraft propellers when using FS2004 aircraft in FSX with Service pack 2 is a well known issue. The "fix" has been documented in several forum posts but I thought an Illustrated tutorial outlining the correction steps would be useful. If I can do it, anyone can.
