BKS Viscount 806 (Leased from BEA)

File Description:
BKS leased Viscount 806 aircraft from BEA in the mid sixties with just a minimal livery change. In fact the BEA lettering was not even removed from under the BKS logo. Shown here is G-APOX which has a claim to fame as being BEA's seventieth and final factory delivered Viscount. Not only was it the last 806, it was also the first. The aircraft was a rebuild of G-AOYF that was damaged beyond repair in a heavy landing in Johannesburg while on a Vickers demonstration tour. Requires the FSDS Viscount 800 model by Rick Piper.

Tips and Tricks II. The original Tips and Tricks was so well received that I have compiled a new collection of tips and tricks for FS2004 that work well on my modest FS2004 setup. These may or may not work for you but you may wish to give them a try. This is in no way meant to be a comprehensive listing – just a few tips, tricks and ideas that I have come across. Military Harbor Master and Searchlight Towers

File Description:
FS2004/FS2002 API macro--Harbormaster Tower and a Firebase Searchlight Tower for use in military scenery by scenery designers. The harbormaster tower is as it was at Chu Lai, Vietnam during the war and has a bridge on the back to connect with a radar tower which is not included with this API. Most design programs have an operating radar tower that you may want to use with this tower. Also in this file is a similar tower without the bridge but with a powerful searchlight beam that is visible at night and is about 1.5 miles long.

MH's FS Scenery Configurator V1.01 Fix

File Description:
"MH's FS Scenery Configurator" is a small program which can do a lot of operations regarding the "scenery.cfg" file where information on installed scenery is stored by FS. It can insert or remove scenery paths (layers), it can move up or down layers, it can search for a installed scenery etc. The most interesting thing is that the program can be controlled through a text file which contains a list of normal command line parameters. This allows easy installation of complete scenery containing archives. Version 1.01 fixes unfortunate bugs of last week's V1.0 and improves functionality!

Magnetic Compass with selectable DIGITAL display

File Description:
A Magnetic Compass gauge with selectable DIGITAL display. When you click on the aircraft outline on the compass, it will change to a Digital display of the heading.

Instructions are included for installing this gauge as a replacement for the default Compass in FS2004 or as an additional pop-up window on panels which do not presently have a magnetic compass. Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the illustrated instructions which are provided in .Doc and .Pdf formats. Tested in FS2004 only. Gauge programming by Jim Robinson - packaged by David "Opa" Marshall for your flying enjoyment.

File Description: Released as an open championship gift to flight-simmers who golf (whether on a real course, or in Links 2003), this file contains textures for the CLS/JustFlight MD-81/82 payware, which you must have, to make them function. The fictive tail number has been placed unobtrusively, and shows a sense of humor. LinksAir is another concept of mine fusing FS with a popular PC golf sim that is still going strong, 9 years after it first appeared. Plans call for operating a virtual European mini-tour, this September (details in the READ ME). A splashscreen is also included.

Harrier VSTOL/Effects Control Gauges

File Description:
This archive contains addon's for Adam Preece' GR.7 Harrier aircraft, which IMHO is the best visual Harrier model available at this time: 1. New flight dynamics, seperately animated nozzles and flaps, and a VSTOL control gauge, enabling a stable VSTOL operation (vertical landing/takeoff) with auto-pitch control, whilst maintaining realistic normal-flight characteristics. 2. A set of gauge-controlled effects, like engine heat/smoke (backwards or downwards, depending on nozzles position), a visible/audible cannon, and wing vapor / wingtip vortex effects. And more ....A real must-try for Harrier fans. See included README for further details.

Qantas Airways Airbus A330-201 'Cradle Mountain'

File Description:
QANTAS took delivery of its first A330-201, VH-EBA "Cradle Mountain" in early December 2002. QANTAS plans to use the A330 as a replacement for its ageing 767-200/300 fleet. Several A330-200's have been ordered with options for an additional undisclosed amount of aircraft. This download contains textures for the Project Opensky A330-200 V2 model. The textures are of 32bit quality and feature realistic night lighting. A 7 page colour readme is included. The Readme features a history of the A330-200 in QANTAS service and a link to a virtual tour of the QANTAS A330-200.

Gmax Objection Collection

File Description:
These are rudimentary gmax objects which may serve as starting points for other designers. You will need to have the gmax FS2004 gamepack installed to modify these, and have a basic knowledge of gmax. Placement of the objects requires knowledge of XML. Objects: boats, boat cradle, fences, intercity bus, park benches, information kiosk, marine lights, a variety of light poles, school bus, security booth with transparent windows, a portable building with deck and coke machine, a tree planter and a simple zodiac water craft. These objects were created for the Ogden Point Terminal/Camel Point Heliport scenery vicenh04.zip By Jon Patch.
