A screenshot gallery of the recently released payware Mantex 2 texture set for UK2000 Manchester. With Mantex 2, you will see the most realistic Manchester Airport scenery ever created for Microsoft Flight Simulator. New to this version is photorealistic night lighting, detailed enough for individual passengers and signs to be visible in the terminal waiting for their virtual flights.

Piasecki PV-2

File Description:
The PV-2 helicopter is powered with a four-cylinder, air-cooled Franklin engine, developing ninety horsepower. The engine is mounted with its crankshaft upright. Piasecki has flown his helicopter in several public demonstrations. Once he took off from the driveway of a private home in Falls Church, Virginia, and flew a short distance to a filling station, where he landed and spent an A ration stamp for three gallons of gasoline. The surprised attendant put in the gas, wiped off the helicopter's windshield, and Piasecki took off again, heading for the golf course. A few minutes later he landed right beside the first tee, took his golf clubs out of the small baggage compartment, and proceeded to tee off for a game of golf. The young designer had done what many had talked about; no one had ever done that before.

Microlights- Vol.2

File Description:
Three more low-polygon count models for AI use in F2004, all tail-draggers, one based on the AirBike, with two seats, the second based on the Weedhopper, the third based on the Affordaplane. I've only included one or two texture sets for each aircraft, but I have included basic repaint templates for the Airbike and the Weedhopper, so you can generate a multitude of brightly-coloured aircraft to your own taste in a few minutes. Each model includes three LOD models and a reduced-detail shadow model, for improved visual performance, and to this end I have also included updated models for my previous "Microlights for AI" upload (required for the textures if you want these aircraft). Although the model file size will be bigger, because FS only loads the LOD model it requires for the given range of the aircraft, once the aircraft is more than a few hundred feet away from the viewpoint, it will affect the frame-rate less than the originals. Please see the enclosed text file for further details.

Cardington Version 2

File Description:
Cardington (UK) Airship Station for FS2004 by John McKeon - Version 2 - 17/10/2005 Location correct to VFR photoreal scenery and compatible with default and Golden Wings scenery The British hub for inter-continental airship travel in 1918-1935 and site of Short Brothers airship factory, which built R31- R38. The facilities are, a conventional grass strip for departure, a 300 ft mooring mast with docking device for arrival, two enormous sheds with pilot-controlled opening doors, static aircraft, vehicles, people, and equipment; refuelling and regassing station, smoking chimney, terminal buildings, repair and maintenance sheds.
