File Description: This aircraft is a customization, upgrade and optimization of Arik Hohmeyer's fine L10E from FS-Design Berlin. The intent was to match it as closely as possible to Earhart's L10E Lockheed Electra. Dave Bitzer's research at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. and independent work by Alex Nicolson resulted in over two-dozen flight-dynamics changes, including proper-capacity long range tanks. Norman Hancock designed two custom panels for this historic aircraft; a classic version with a Sperry AP and a modern one with a digital AP and more navigation equipment. The Cambridge Engine Analyzer, Sextant, Drift Meter, and pop-up E6-B computer are standard on both panels. Easy one-step install.

File Description: This panel was made for the Boeing B314 Clipper, which is available from Mike Stone at http://www.pmstone.com/home.php. Also used in this panel is Dave Bitzer and Mark Beaumont's sextant gauge. Warning, in order to navigate this aircraft you must rely on the instruments of the era.

File Description: As travel by air developed and matured, navigation over long distances also developed and improved. In the early days, however, air navigation essentially used ship navigation techniques adapted for aircraft. Without "landmarks", the navigators used Ded Reckoning (DR) and the stars. Celestial or Astronomical Navigation provides a means of obtaining Lines of Position (LOPs) from the stars. Crossing LOPs will fix a position. It requires a chart, and a planned course on that chart, with waypoints specified by Latitude and Longitude, an assumed time of arrival at each waypoint, and stars (including the Sun, Moon, or planets) in view. In the 1940s, extensive tables of star positions were made available to air navigators to be used with sextants to obtain these LOPs. In the tables, all times involved are GMT. This data is available from the Internet in "ready to use" form. This gauge simulates the sextant, and the process by which one obtains a LOP, or crossing LOPs to obtain a position, or fix. Can be used with any FS2004 aircraft. Includes comprehensive browser-based manual and references.

File Description: This is a modification of the AlphaSim C130 freeware. It simulates the C-130E. It includes Ice Handling, an Astro Compass, a Periscope Sextant, a period appropriate Auto Pilot, improved flight dynamics, modified checklists, a navigators station, and extensive documentation. It doesn't include GPS. Easy Installation. A special thank you to the docents at the Air Mobility Museum in Dover Delaware, USA for their help with this project. More credits in the Manual.

File Description: This is a Modification of the excellent D18S by Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas and Andre Folkers comprising a new 2D panel and flight dynamics for a 1943 US Navy JRB-4. It features the 1943 vintage "Navy Pilot's Manual" based layout and gauges. Included are the appropriate original D18S model and textures for a complete aircraft installation, with permission by Shupe, Thomas, and Folkers. The Pilots Manual was used as the source for flight planning instructions, panel design, Sperry autopilot, ADF and other gauges, fuel tank locations and selection levers, and electrical system. Also included are pop-up sextant and drift meters. A special thank you to Milton Shupe who generously provided me with a great amount of technical help with this project.

File Description: This is SEXTANT, the Shuttle EXternal TANk Transport. It is a hypothetical booster that uses beefed up shuttle external tanks for its structure and RS68 engines from the Delta IV. I can lift up to 500 tons into LEO. I've included the 3ds files so any of you can modify the booster or the cargo pod as you wish.

File Description: This is an add-on to the "dc3_bbsx.zip" Simulated Aircraft Bubble Sextant Gauge. While the simulated sextant determines the elevation to the star, it requires drawing lines of position on a chart to ascertain the latitude and longitude of the fix. The Global Navigation Charts (GNC) at scale 5,000,000:1 are suitable but not generally available for this purpose. This gauge simulates small sections of the proper chart, and automatically places the LOP from the sextant on the chart in the proper orientation. It includes installation and operating instructions, and an example flight description. Install the "dc3_bbsx.zip" first, if it hasn't been installed already.
