File Description:
This airport update is made only for FSX with two optional files, one version with the Crosswind runway activated and in full operation where both runways will be used for takeoff and landing and one version as the default runway operation: airlines assigned to their gates as per their website with extra parking, taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, PAPI corrected to both sides of runway 11/29, extra fuel trucks, support vehicle roads rebuilt with many other scenery objects added, airport views are from the roof of the control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation.

YPDN 1960 Darwin Intl.

File Description:
In 1919 when the England to Australia air race was announced, Darwin Airport was established in the suburb of Parap to act as the Australian Terminal. It operated as two airports, a civilian airport and a military field. In 1945 the Department of Aviation made the existing Darwin military airfield available for civil aviation purpose. As a result, the civilian airport at Parap was closed down and airport operations combined with the military airport. Between 1950 and 1974 Darwin Airport acted as the primary domestic and international airport for the Northern Territory and a very important stop for airlines such as Qantas.

Australian Capital Cities & Regional Airports

File Description:
This is a basic update of FSX default Australian Capital City & Regional Airports BGL airport files. Many gates have been resized where possible to enable larger aircraft such as b747s, A380s park in the international terminals. I have also added several gates to a number of airports and assigned ATC (airline) parking codes to all the parking spots. These parking codes have been aligned to the correct terminals. Military parking spots have also been added to many airports. Note Melbourne airport (YMML) has also been updated from my last posting. The airports included in this pack include: Melbourne Intl - YMML; Canberra - YSCB (includes military); Sydney Intl - YSSY; Brisbane Intl - YBBN; Darwin Intl - YPDN (includes military); Perth Intl - YPPH; Adelaide Intl - YPAD; Hobart Intl - YMHB; Albury - YMAY; Cairns Intl - YBSC; Townsville - YBTL (includes military); Gold Coast - YBCG; Launceston - YMLT; Devonport - YDPO; East Sale (Military) - YMES These BGL AFCAD files has been tested with VOZ, PAI and RAAF AI aircraft. There are 15 BGL AFCAD files in this download.

Darwin International Airport - Northern Territory (YPDN)

File Description:
Basic scenery for Darwin Int'l Airport (YPDN). Inspired by and fully compatible with Vista Australis (VOZ) 1.3. Adds the terminal building military hangars across from the terminal, as well as adding buildings at the GA ramps. Also increased parking for both GA and military ramps within the included AFCAD (original by Ray Smith).

Another set of afcads that activate Australian airports especially with the event of the wonderful VOZ scenery (voz099.zip avaiable here at avsim) these are for the default airports this activates all rwy's in each afcad, a special mention must go to Jim Vile for his star technique that activates crosswind rwy's airport views are from the roof of the control tower (only when you are in TOWER view) with night lighted heli pads gates numbered in the corect order within the constraints of fs9 fully tested with Ultimate Traffic but not required

Darwin International Airport Single-Layer AFCAD

File Description:
This single-layer AFCAD file, named YPDNBB.txt, is an FS2002 facility file for the Darwin International Airport in Darwin, Australia. It adds as many gates as possible to the airport. The gates are logically labeled, but may not reflect their real-world equivalent. My goal was to add 'life' to the airport, not recreate an exact replica of the real thing. All runways are available for FS2K2 to select the active. The file ID is YPDN and has the following gate distribution: Heavy-1, Medium-1, Small-4, Express-0, GA-7. I have included Lee Swordy's AF Installer along with this file. It automatically installs it into FS2002. To use the installer, simply click on the file YPDNBB.txt and drag it onto the AF Installer icon.
