| China Airlines 1998 AI Package |

File Description:
China Airlines had almost completely repainted the fleet by 1998, in these flightplans there is only 1 A300s left in the old livery. China Airlines rushed the repaint of their fleet as the Taiwanese flag on the old colors was not allowed in HKG after the 1997 hand over from England making Hong Kong a Chinese Territory. As such, the old colors were gone by 1998. The 737-400s were still very much active, but were very near the end of their lives with China Airlines retired by 1999 or so. The 737-400s do some regional international routes, and also high frequency KHH-TSA flights and a few TPE-KHH flights. Only 2 747-200s left, mostly flying to HND, and the A300-600R is the backbone of the fleet with a handful of A300B4s still flying. The 747SPs all were at Mandarin by 1998. At this time, and Mandarin aircraft often subbed for China Airlines 747-400s and MD-11s using the "DYNASTY" callsign. I have included an MD-11 in Mandarin colors operating China Airlines flights, I recommend you make a separate aircraft.cfg entry for the Mandarin MD-11 aircraft with the "DYNASTY" callsign and "CAL" parking code for realism. Repaints by Ranmori Scythe for the FAIB 737-400, 747-200, 747-400, FSPX MD-11, and TFS A300B4 and A300-600R are included. As a bonus, textures are also included for the FAIB 737-800(which entered the fleet in 1999) and the old colors on the FAIB 747-400(discontinued by 1997). Feel free to use the 737-400 instead of the 737-800 if you wish. All repaints were done by the very talented Ranmori Scythe and flightplans were done by the not-so-talented Chasen Richardson. | Hawaiian Air 1998 AI Package |

File Description:
Hawaiian Air was a shell of itself in the Transpacific market in 1998 compared to today, while it was fiercely competing with Aloha Airlines in the intra-Hawaii market. DC-10-10s preformed all Long Haul flights as well as those to the USA, while a fleet of DC-9-50s competed with Aloha between the islands. At the time, all flights from OGG to the mainland actually originated in Honolulu and made a stop in Maui in each direction on which no tickets were sold between HNL\OGG. LAX was used as a stop over point as well for flights between HNL\OGG and LAS. All mainland flights from HNL were daily while flights to other destinations in the Pacific and between the mainland and OGG were operated only a few days per week. HNL-LAX was the busiest route for the DC-10, with 3 daily flights. The MD-80s, other DC-9 variants, and the DHC-7s were gone by 1998, but the DC-9-50s still served the smaller airports of LNY and MKK(even with some very short flights between the two) at the time which were soon after abandoned until Ohana by Hawaiian was launched in recent years with ATR-42s. | Mandarin Airlines 1998 AI Package |

File Description:
Mandarin Airlines was a fully-owned affiliate of China Airlines based in RCTP. Today, Mandarin does mostly regional flying, but 1998 represented the final years of widebody operations for the carrier. The 747SPs were retired soon after, and the MD-11s and 747-400 gradually returned to China Airlines. Mandarin operated most of the US, Australian, European, and Middle Eastern flights for China Airlines at the time. Mandarin aircraft frequently swapped back and forth onto China Airlines routes and vice versa. As Mandarin had a small fleet, I elected to have Mandarin planes on Mandarin routes, but my China Airlines plans will also utilize Mandarin colors MD-11s on China Airlines routes, so the repaints in this file are required for China Airlines 1998. Swap out the aircraft as you see fit. Repaints by the talented Ranmori Scythe included for the FAIB 747-400, 747SP, and FSPX MD-11 included with flightplans by the not-so-talented Chasen Richardson. File Description:
Air Austral had yet to venture into longhaul flying in 1998, with 2 737-300s and a 737-500 flying to neighboring islands and venturing a bit into Western and Southern Africa. As the Comoros and Mayotte didn't have flag carriers, Air Austral and Air Madagascar connected destinations to these islands beyond RUN. Note that the YVA airport has since closed and the HAH airport further north is used now. These plans use the old airport and a scenery will eventually be created. Today, the airline has grown many times it's size in 1998 and now flies 777-300ERs and 787s across the globe.

Trans Asia Airlines was a Kazakstan-based IL-62 and IL-62M operator serving destinations in Turkey, Germany and Holland for a short time before it's 1999 failure. At the time of the these flightplans, the airline had lost an IL-62(YR-IRD) to a ground fire shortly before departure in Istanbul, Turkey.The remaining 3 aircraft had 3 different liveries, with 1 wearing green colors, 1 blue, and the other red. File Description:
Belavia is a former divison of Aeroflot, formed in 1996 after the resolution of the Belarusian Governemnt and has had a similar livery every since. By 1998, the airline had expanded across Europe and Asia to serve several major cities, but had yet to modernize with Western aircraft, still operating Tu-154s, Tu-134s, YAK-40s, and An-24RVs on scheduled services. Since then, the airline has modernized with modern aircraft like the 737, CRJ, and EMB-190. Included are Christian Gold's textures for the TCAI Tu-154M, SBAI Tu-134, and Maxc-Sim YAK-40.
