This folder contains a repaint for the Consolidated B-24D by Flight Replicas, adapted for use in P3Dv5. It shows B-24D-165-CO 42-72858 GJ-U "Pistol Packin' Mama" of the 68th BS, 44th BG, based in Shipdham, UK. It was hit by a German fighter during an attack on Tutow on the 9th of April 1944. The pilot, Lt. Palmer managed to reach Sweden, where he made an emergency landing at Bulltofta. The nosewheel collapsed, but the crew was unhurt. The aircraft was too damaged to be repaired and was scrapped in Sweden. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Flight Replicas.

This folder contains a repaint for the Consolidated B-24D by Flight Replicas, adapted for use in P3Dv5. It shows B-24D-5-CO L "Suzy Q" of the 67th BS, 44th BG, based in Shipdham, UK. It was flown by Col. Leon Johnson to lead the 44th BG on the August 1st 1943 raid on Ploesti. The aircraft was lost on August 16, 1943 on a mission to Foggia, Italy, when it was intercepted by Me109 fighters and was last seen burning on an Italian beach. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Flight Replicas.

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Consolidated B-24D by Flight Replicas, adapted for use in P3Dv5. It shows B-24D-10-Cf 42-62885 BZ862 of the RAF. Arrived in the UK in 1943, it was flown to Karachi, arriving there in August 1943. It first flew with 354 Sqn with serial A, before going to 160 Sqn as J. It was based in Minneriya, in present-day Sri Lanka and was used for long distance mine-laying operations. For this, they removed all extra weight and installed three additional tanks in the forward bomb-bay. This aircraft flew a sortie to southern Malaya to drop two British officers near the Kota Tinggi/Johore road on 31-7/1-8-1945, captained by Flt Lt J A Muir RCAF, and was airborne for 24 hrs 10 mins, the longest unrefuelled flight ever made by any Allied landplane in World War II; the distance flown was 3,735 mls (6,013 km). This folder contains a repaint for the Consolidated B-24D by Flight Replicas, adapted for use in P3Dv5. It shows B-24D-20-CF 42-64026 BZ949 Liberator B.III of No 1586 (Polish) Special Duties Flight. The aircraft crashed while trying to land at Grottaglie, Italy on January 6th 1944, on return from a mission to Poland. The entire crew was killed when the aircraft hit a mountain near Villa Castella. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Flight Replicas.
