Royal Flying Doctors Services - VH-VSA. The Pilatus PC-24 long range jet is set to revolutionise aero medicine for the patients of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, ensuring better outcomes for people in WA. The RFDS will welcome the first of 3 new Pilatus PC-24 long range jet aircraft from 2017. The innovative aircraft will deliver increased fuel efficiency with twice the cruising speed of the PC-12. With an increased capacity to carry three stretchered patients, the ability to land on unpaved airstrips and shorter take off and landing capabilities, the PC-24 jets will be a game changer for the RFDS. Ultimately, it means we will be able to retrieve patients even more efficiently, and faster, from a greater number of locations around the state. Textures only. Branded Tail of the GRU Airwing Jabiru.
Game Reserves United GRU) is a grouping of both private and provincial reserves on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park that have come together as a united front, working collaboratively to stop rhino poaching. GRU is a coordinated effort to proactively combat rhino poaching across 25 private and provincial nature reserves (200 000ha). The project has been up and running since early 2013 but has thus far been lacking aerial support.
In a unique and generous gesture Jabiru S.A. and Jabiru Australia have jointly made available a brand new Jabiru J170 aircraft to launch the GRU-Jabiru Airwing. Len en Les Alford of Jabiru SA felt compelled to contribute towards the anti-rhino poaching campaign and chose GRU to manage the operational side for the aircraft that they are making available. It is also their wish that the aircraft provides an opportunity for professional pilots to gain flying time towards their higher qualifications. Five Hoedspruit pilots were chosen for the roster. Jaco Scheepers and Wynand Uys will collect the aircraft from the Jabiru Factory in George in middle September. The “Rhino-Jab†as the aircraft has become known, is generously fitted with communications and navigational equipment to facilitate the pilots in their task to support the ground forces of the various member reserves. Appropriately, its registration is ZU-OPS.

File Description:
An artistic representation of an actual of LN-TEX. LN-TEX was built by Noorduyn Aviation in Canada as a Harvard Mk. II in 1944. It served with the British Royal Air Force as well as the Belgian, Portugese and German Air Forces in the years to come. In 1979 it was bought by Norwegian Anders Sæther from Scandinavian Historic Flight. It was painted in a USAAF silver paint-scheme, and have been stationed at Kjeller Aerodrome in Norway for many years. LN-TEX got a Pratt & Whitney R-1340-AN-1 Wasp radial engine giving it 600 horsepower. Maximum speed is ca. 300 km/h while cruise speed is at ca 235 km/h. Textures only. You need a legal copy of the A2A T-6 Harvard.
