Smithers, CYYD

File Description:
Contained is an approximation of CYYD, Smithers Regional Airport, BC, made using the fsx object placement tool. Just pop it in your fsx\add on scenery\scenery folder. This scenery works well with Combat Planes Northern Adventures sampler. Notice that any xml mission file can be converted to a permanent bgl file for personal use with the bgl compiler of the SDK or Abacus Scenery Shortcut. For example, the Combat Planes Terrace Airport, CYXT. Thus, with this file and the above mentioned, one can have a nice circuit to fly from Smithers through Terrace down to Sandspit and back up to the Sitkine Area, to be improved in the future no doubt with Tongass Fjords II. FSG North America terrain mesh highly recommended.

Bella Coola Valley Landscape Enhancements

File Description:
One of the most spectacular watersheds of British Columbia's Midcoast, the Bella Coola Valley looks pretty boring in its default FSX rendition and the oddly shaped default Bella Coola River cuts deep into the terrain. These files provide a terrain mesh made from CDED1 0.75-arcsec data (multi-LOD, with maximum resolution of 38-m grid spacing), updated land class, water class, and seasons files, and accurate placements of lakes, rivers, streams, roads, and bridges. Also added are the glaciers of the Monarch Mountain Icefield as well as several forestry roads and clearcuts in the side valleys. Main roads have vehicle traffic moving in both directions. Coverage area is N51*45'-52*40' and W125*35'-127*25'. These files are fully compatible with other landscape enhancements for FSX, such as FS Genesis North America terrain mesh, Cloud 9's X-class, Adam Mill's ground texture replacements, or Flight1's Ultimate Terrain Canada/Alaska.

Isle of Wight (UK) reconstructed

File Description:
This started out as a relatively simple project to correct the most obvious faults with the shape of the Isle of Wight, but instead of taking about a week it kept me going for a month. As well as correcting the North and East coasts where the Island was almost unrecognisable I started putting in a few more roads.I then realised just how over populated the Island looked. There is built up areas all over the place , it looked terrible , so I have attempted to correct this . After this I thought I would put in a few of the larger factories and marinas etc.....
