These two textures are for the A2A WOP3 Spitfire Mk I/II. Representing two Spitfires flown by the top-scoring Battle of Britain fighter ace, F/Lt. Eric Lock or, "Sawn Off Lockie". On 3rd August 1941, Lock was on his way back from a fighter sweep over northern France when he went missing in action. His name is carved on the Runnymede Memorial in Surrey, along with those of 20,000 British and Commonwealth airmen who vanished without trace in World War II.

I have moved the "Canadian Regional" lettering above the passenger windows in a more conventional arrangment and add some color to the engines to break up all the white. File Description:
A repaint for the A2A Wings Of Power 3 Spitfire Mk IIb as one of the Spitfires flown by George Beurling while Stationed at Malta. Beurling was recognised as "Canada's most famous hero of Second World War", as "The Falcon of Malta" and the "Knight of Malta", having shot down 27 Axis aircraft in just 14 days over the besieged Mediterranean island. Before the war ended his total climbed to either 31 or 31+. Beurling's wartime service was terminated prior to the war's end. In an attempt to continue combat flying in the postwar era, Beurling lost his life in a crash while delivering an aircraft to Israel.

At the time, each Mirage III unit had two Mirage IIIB trainers assigned. In 1966 they were all consolidated into ECT 2/2 'Cote d'Or' at Dijon-Longvic AB. Created using paintkit by Philippe Penot.
