MKJS Montego Bay Jamaica 1955-1947

File Description:
Scenery for Montego Bay Jamaica as it was in the mid 1950s. The terminal was then on the north side of the runway but at the same time a new terminal area was under construction on the south side. With custom built scenery objects based on contemporary photographs. A companion scenery to the recently released dowbload on Kingston Jamaica.

CYQX Gander 1950

File Description:
CYQX Gander was one of the most important airports in the world before the advent of long range passenger jet aircraft, and this scenery represents it as it is shown in a Trans Canada Airlines chart of 1950.   All the major structures for this scenery have been custom built.

CYUL Montreal Dorval

File Description:
Based on a chart in the Pan Am Atlantic Division Manual for 1946, this scenery is intended for propliner operations at Dorval down to the mid 1950s. The hangars and terminal are custom built.

FS2004 Scenery--Goose Bay Canadian Forces Base and US Air Base. Goose Bay Canadian Forces Base and US Air Base (CYYR), Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, 1955-62.

File Description:
Goose Bay Canadian Forces Base and US Air Base (CYYR), Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, 1955-62. Originally built to facilitate the transport of US aircraft to Europe during the Second World War, during the Cold War Goose Bay was a base of major importance. Like nearby Gander it was a vital refuelling point for transatlantic crossings, but also along with the recently released Ernest Harmon Air Base (CYJT) an important part of the defences against the threat of Soviet bombers carrying muclear weapons attacking the USA via the North Pole. F-89 Scorpions and then F-102 Delta Daggers were based there, and this download includes F-89s especially made for this scenery by David Wooster. Flight plans are provided for 1955, 1957, 1959 and 1962, doing much to recreate this significant Cold War base as it really was; many of the aircraft which passed through Goose at that time are provided for. This file is an update to the scenery issued in October 2021, made necessary by the discovery of new information as a result of further historical research. There have also been changes to the ADE and traffic files intended to improve the performance of both, and to the navaids too. Instructions are included for those installing from scratch and those updating our previous version, and there have been improvements to the clarity of the instructions for the downloading and installation of the ai aircraft. There will be no further updates.

Huahine Airport, French Polynesia, NTTH, Fare

File Description:
This is an all new airport on the Island of Huahine in French Polynesia, just a short hop from Bora Bora. It is located in the Society Islands of French Polynesia which contain 98% of the areas population, with Tahiti being the main area of commerce, and urban center. This scenery includes the terminal, and a few rustic hangars and storage facilities. This Island like most in the area is supported by the tourist industry, and they are known for being the most beautiful and romantic Islands in the world. As with all of the airports in this area, this one will be greatly enhanced with the terrain mesh from Rolf Keibel and Johnathan Applegate, under the name FPSIMESH.zip. Afcad by Ray Smith is also included in this file.

Sydney Nova Scotia 1955-1957

File Description:
In the period after 1945 Sydney was an important alternate airport for commercial aircraft flying the North Atlantic route between Europe and the U.S.A and Canada. Like Moncton and Goose Bay, it was in a sense a satellite of the much better known Gander, which was however sometimes rendered unusable by adverse weather conditions and especially fog. Sydney had two runways equiped with ILS wnen Gander only had one, and approach lights on all runways, unlike Gander. This scenery is primarily intended for use in the California Classic retro environment created by Tom Gibson and the CalClassic Community, and awaits your Stratocruisers, Douglases and Constellations.

File Description:
FS2004 Scenery--Ernest Harmon Air Force Base and Stephenville Airport (CYJT), Newfoundland, 1957-62. Originally built to facilitate the transport of US aircraft to Europe during the Second World War, during the Cold War Harmon was the biggest US base outside the USA. Like nearby Gander it was a vital refuelling point for transatlantic crossings, but also an important part of the defences against the threat of Soviet bombers carrying muclear weapons attacking the USA via the North Pole. F-89 Scorpions and then F-102 Delta Daggers were based there, and this download includes F-89s especially made for this scenery by David Wooster. It also has custom landclass adjustments by Al Von Pingel and many custom buildings by Dan French. Bora Bora Airport, French Polynesia, NTTB

File Description:
The Bora Bora airport is located on one of the Motus, which surround the Island of Bora Bora. The Motus are raised coral reefs which act as break waters, and create the beautiful turquoise lagoons which surround the French Polynesian Islands. This scenery is a complete remake of the original, and is now much more accurate as to what the airport looks like. It contains the main terminal, a fire station attached to the tower with fuel tanks, open air hangar structures, two helipads, and wood stairs taking you down to the boat docks where you are transported to the main island. This is one of the most unique French Polynesian Islands with it's beautiful and interesting mountain structure. Using the terrain mesh by Rolf Keibel and John Applegate will tremendously enhance this part of the world in FS. It is available at Flightsim under the name fpsimesh.zip. Afcad by Ray Smith is also included.
