| Red-Brown Night Texture Fix |

File Description:
This package replaces 99 of the "LM" night ground textures found in the "Flight Simulator 9/Scenery/World/texture" folder with ones that have been "slightly" darkened. These files retain the correct "street" lighting while losing the red/brown "ground glow" found particularly in the farm textures. The result is a nighttime texture that blends seamlessly with the rest of the FS textures and provides a more realistic night environment. This package also works very well in combination with the FSGenesis US National Landclass Project.

File Description:
Dillingham is a town with a population of around 2,300 at the southeast corner of the Bering Sea in Bristol Bay, 70 miles west of King Salmon. The town's economical well being is based on the commercial price of salmon and the numerous surrounding sport fishing lodges. FS9 shows the town as way more extensive than it is; the landclass textures correct this. The airport is a mile west of the town and has a single runway 6,400 feet long and orientated 01-19. There are scheduled passenger flights by Alaska Air (numerous in summer and non-existant in winter) and PenAir (year around) plus cargo flights by Everts and Northern Air Transport, and local scheduled flights by Grant Air; the AI includes these, plus GA. The GA gravel apron is behind the main apron and across a road, which is unusual. The parking on the asphalt apron is marked; in actuality there are no markings but landing at a field in FS9 that doesn't have a control tower leaves one wondering where to go; the six spots at the far northern end are unused by AI and free for visitors.

File Description:
AI Water "aircraft" for Lake Okanagan, BC. This package features an AI Sternwheeler ship, an AI Waco Bi-wing plane and AI Cabin Cruisers set on Lake Okanagan, near Penticton and Kelowna, BC, Canada. Offerred as an interesting scenery enhancement, it also demonstrates the use of the "forward departure" (no push-back) technique as applied to water based aircraft. A few EZ objects have also been used to decorate the dock areas where the AI "craft" will be seen. This enhancement has been tested with the default FS2004 scenery only and may not work with other enhancements (such as UT-Canada) which alter the shorelines of Lake Okanagan. Other downloads may be required or are recommended. Complete details about these will be found in the instructions. Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the easy installation instructions. A very detailed and accurate small airport located between Zurich and Lucerne with a grass runway and a glider and a helicopter area with the newest textured airport buildings all made by digital photographs. Static aircrafts, gliders, cars, windsails and visual approach charts are available. The airfield is famous for it's spectacular final on runway 34. Works very well in FS2004 and FS2002.

I have made this because I downloaded and tried the Glacier Park scenery by Blue Sky Scenery and then discovered that the runway for Whitefish was wrongly aligned and headed off across the adjacent railroad tracks. This would be inconvenient if you had to wait for a train to pass before landing so I fixed that and added a couple of buildings. That's it, nothing more complicated than that. If I find some more airfields in this area with similar problems then I'll do more of the same. Whitefish is 3 or so miles north of Glacier Park International at 3,066 feet ASL and around 35 miles south of the Canadian border. There are no large towns close by; the nearest would be Missoula, which is 90 miles further south.

File Description:
Talkeetna is around 75 miles north of Anchorage in Alaska on the east shore of the Susitna River. The town is where Don Sheldon got off the train in 1938, and where, ten years later, he started Talkeetna Air Services. There are two airfields in Talkeetna, PATK with its long asphalt runway and Talkeetna Village AK44 in the middle of the town. This is AK44; the default FS version with Ultimate Terrain installed had the runway half in the river, but there is still space for the 900 feet of runway that is described in the book "Wager With The Wind" that tells Don's story. The result is a step back in time to 1973, when the second hangar was built. If you also want to install PATK do a search. I have partially populated the village with cabins, and UT is probably required for the river to be there; I haven't tested this without it.
