File Description: Tips and Tricks Number 17 - 2005 Holiday Edition. This issue presents several suggestions to liven up your Holidays as well a several fine Tips which have been submitted by our readers. Since this will the be the last issue before the New Year, I have packed it fuller than Santa's bag with useful ideas and the "From the E-Mail Bag" department answers a question of general interest. Also included are two "Bonus Files" which readers have allowed me to present to all as a Holiday Gift. Updated indexes by John Burford for the entire series in Excel (xls) and Adobe Acrobat (pdf) formats are included. As usual, I have attempted to include something of value for everyone, regardless of your experience level. Please unzip to a temporary location using the folders option. DC-8 Performance Charts - series 40 (RR Conway), 50 (JT3D3), 61 (JT3D3) and 63 (JT3D7)

File Description:
These are scans from an old Air Canada DC-8 manual. The charts include hard-to-find takeoff thrust settings for the Rolls Royce Conway engines on the DC-8-40 series. Also includes stabiliser settings for takeoff, and 'Turbulence Penetration Speed (IAS) and Level Flight EPR' tables. Big thanks to Herman Kreimes who provided the manual for scans.

FStree2004 Version 2

File Description:
Photorealistic trees version 2.0 december 2005. Pack of trees Photorealistic autogen for FS2004 and FS2002. In version 1, trees have default FS size. In this version 2, trees are reduced by 60%, more realistic with other objects from autogen. This reduction allows places for more conifers. Airline Inventory

File Description:
Not long ago I embarked on a project to streamline my flight simulator's AI setup. I knew I had too many aircraft texture sets that I was not using, too many unnecessary night texture files, installation of defunct airlines, and the like. So, I put together a spreadsheet showing my AI system with all the airlines and additional pieces such as vehicles and ships. This has been a very large and time-consuming project as my AI system has more than 7,000 texture sets, more than 2,200 airline folders, and other assorted AI components. Inside you'll find an Excel spreadsheet with all my airlines (more than 2,200) listed, Birds, Blimp, Corporate Aircraft, Defunct Airlines, Douglas DC-3, Float Planes, Government Aircraft, Helicopters, Medical Aircraft, Military Aircraft, Personal Registration Aircraft, Ships, and Vehicles - all associated with the FS AI system. In addition, I've included the spreadsheet's source text files for those that do not have Microsoft Excel. NOTE: You can download an MS Excel spreadsheet viewer (freeware) from the Microsoft site. Because of copyright restrictions and the size of my AI system, I have not provided links to specific files. However, I think you'll find the data very useful. Procedures for the LevelD Boeing 767-300

File Description:
English: This file is a PDF with a german / english manual with procedures, to bring the Level-D 767 from, "Cold'n'Dark" into the air. The FMC programming, loading and fueling isn't described, therefor I advise the great PMDG 737 / 747 Tutorials of Jens-Albert Schenk. The FMCs of the Boeing 767 are looking alike them from the 737 or 747! Who can handle with 737s or 747s FMC, can handle the 767s FMC too. These Procedures contain everything, the pilot has to do, but not all control-tasks. That means, U can find every Switch, U have to push numbered in the corrosponding panel, that U can proserously get from "Cold'n'Dark" into "After Takeoff" I Don't made any description for the Procedures from "Climb and Cruise" until "Secure", because there are essentially used the same switches. In addendum can U find a 2D-Picture of the Lightpanel with a description and real airline checklists. Please read the provided english-manual of the levelD 767!!
