sRadar80 Navigational Radar Download

File Description:
FS2004 Gauge: sRadar80, navigational radar- This nose-mounted, forward-scanning radar will display simulated echoes from ground-based targets that will assist navigation. Screen blips represent FS objects located within the simulator world. With six ranges available (2nm-80nm), cross-country radar navigation and low visibility approaches are possible (see pictures). Scan sensitivity (GAIN) allows adjustments to minimize screen clutter. On-screen wiper scan, push-to-display nm scale, plus many other features. For panel and window installations with included icon gauge. Also, tutorial illustrating a radar approach using the features of sRadar80. By Glenn Copeland

KD_RDF Radio Direction Finder Download

File Description:
ADF navigation was preceeded by LF receivers with manually swung directional loop antennas. They provided essentially the same information, but required more operator intervention, and had an 180 degree ambiguity as well. This gauge comprises a loop navigation system simulating the manually swung loops of the 1930's. It includes the gauges and documentation to replace the ADF with a simulated manually steered loop antenna for those who may wish to simulate the very early Radio Navigation flights. This gauge can be used in conjunction with the Radio Range add-on. While designed for the DC-3, this gauge can be used with any aircraft from the 1930s era. File Description:
Do you ever wonder what airports you are flying over and do not wish to consult a Map or the GPS (if your aircraft has one)? The display can be fixed on a panel or can be installed as a pop-up window called by a panel icon. Complete instructions and sample setups using the default Cessna 172 are included. This gauge is designed to be used in the 2D cockpit environment has been tested in FS2004 but may work in FSX also. Drift Meter Version 2 Download

File Description:
This gauge, for FS2004, updates the drift meter gauge, published on 19 Jan. 2005. It is easier to use, comes with a panel icon, and has improved graphics. It simulates the drift meters used in the 1940's, measuring the drift of an aircraft off its heading due to the wind. In the old days of aviation, navigators had quite a job in windy weather. An advantage of the drift meter is that it has nothing to do with wind direction or aircraft heading. The measured wind drift is used to correct the aircraft heading to maintain course.
