CYZD

File Description:
Downsview Airport or Toronto/Downsview Airport, (IATA: YZD, ICAO: CYZD), is located in Toronto, Ontario and has been exclusively used and owned as a testing facility by Bombardier Aerospace since 1994. Downsview Airport has its own fire service (Bombardier Emergency Services) which covers airport operations (using two airport fire rescue vehicles) and plant operations (using two SUV emergency vehicles). Bombardier Emergency Services employs robust employees who are trained as fire fighters, paramedics, and as peace officers (despite being a private airport, its security force is sworn in as Peace Officers per Canadian Airport Standards as well as being sworn fire fighters under the authority of the Ontario Fire Marshall). The Downsview Airport was developed in 1939 as an airfield next to an aircraft manufacturing plant operated by de Havilland Canada. In 1947, the Department of National Defence purchased property surrounding the airfield and expanded it, creating RCAF Station Downsview to provide an air base for Royal Canadian Air Force units. The base was renamed Canadian Forces Base Toronto (Downsview) in 1968 and retained this name until its closure in 1994. Since 1998, the property has been administered by a civilian Crown corporation Parc Downsview Park, which co-manages the airfield with Bombardier Aerospace (the successor to de Havilland Canada). In recent years the property has been undergoing various landscape usage plans and some redevelopment has taken place. The airfield was used in recent years to host the 1984 and 2002 Papal visits by Pope John Paul II, as well as to host the 2003 SARS concert headlined by the Rolling Stones. The airfield has also served as a test site for several famous aircraft produced by de Havilland, including the Beaver, the Twin Otter, and the Dash 8. Metro Oakland with Active Crosswind Runways

File Description:
A high spec AFCAD2 for the FS2004 Metro Oakland Int'l Airport (KOAK) scenery by the Mach-1 Design Group. This afcad has been built using FAA Charts, various aerial photographs and information from the Airport Website. All taxiways are named and all aprons are reworked to be as real as possible according to photos. All gates are named and have airlines assigned to them. As per real life, only Southwest Airlines will use Terminal 2, all other airlines being allocated to Terminal 1. The Fedex and UPS aprons are represented and can accomodate many cargo aircraft. The final parking area is random GA parking to the north of the airport. Overflow parking is also available for rush hour periods. This airport features a tower view and also night and approach lighting. Finally, by using the crosswind runway technique, runways 9L/27R, 9R/27L and 11/29 can all be used simultaniously for take-off and landing. Runway 15/33 is closed as it is not used in real life. An extra taxiway "Zulu" has been added (not real life) to avoid AI conflicts when using runway 29 for Takeoffs and landings. Enjoy!! Requires that you install m1dg_oak2007.zip from this site.

Mumbai (VABB) with Active Crosswind Runways (v3)

File Description:
A high quality AFCAD2 for Chhatrapati Shivaji Int'l Airport, Mumbai, India. This AFCAD file is for the default FS2004 airport and has been built from scratch. The airport has concrete taxiways, remodelled aprons and full night lighting, including approach lights on all runways. All gates and cargo ramps have airline assignments. Using the crosswing runway technique, both runways can be used at the same time for take-offs and landings. Runway 14 features a holding area/turning loop, making aircraft turn arounds easier on that runway. The domestic terminal features 35 aircraft stands, the international terminal has 24 stands (18 for 747 sized aircraft) and the cargo ramp has 9 stands (all capable of holding cargo 747s). If you have lots of traffic flowing through Mumbai, this file will bring your airport to life. New in this release, Taxiways updated slightly to avoid AI jams, and now aircraft landing on runway 14 will no longer halt eastbound takeoff operations by taxying along runway 09 to get to the terminal. Mineta San Jose International Airport - AFCAD Fix

File Description:
Sorry, I goofed when making the AFCAD and forgot to put the PAPI lights in and re-align the ILS. This AFCAD will fix the ILS and place the PAPI indicators in the correct positions. This AFCAD is for use only with the updated version of SJC2007 with photo real tiles. The AFCAD in the original version has the PAPI lights and the correct ILS headings.

Kona (PHKO)

File Description:
An AFCAD2 for the Kona Int'l At Keahole airport, Hawaii. Features assigned gates for all serving airlines. A ramp for Interisland traffic is in the center of the airport, whilst all other airlines are placed on either side. Runway lighting has been upgraded, and a fictional high speed runway exit has been provided for those aircraft landing on runway 17. Cargo ramps for serving carriers FedEx and UPS are provided on the south ramp, along with 2 hangar parking ramps for Hawaiian Airlines aircraft maintenance. Finally, GA parking can be found at the very south end of the airport, and can accomodate a variety of GA aircraft. This file is for the Kona scenery (konav3.zip) by Bill Melichar. Enjoy!!
