| Air Ceylon, Lockheed L-749A Constellation, 1956-1958 |

Air Ceylon was formed in 1947 by the government of the newly independent Republic of Ceylon (nowadays Sri Lanka). That same year three Lockheed L-749 Constellations were ordered for the connection Colombo-London. The order for the Connies lapsed and in 1949 Air Ceylon started a service operating Douglas DC-4s leased from Australian National Airways (ANA), who owned 49% of the shares (the other 51% were owned by the government of Ceylon). However, fierce competition from BOAC's DH-104 Comet 1 and TWA's L-749 Constellation forced Air Ceylon to close the London connection in 1953. In 1955 KLM Royal Dutch Airlines took over the shares from ANA. From 7 February 1956 till 1 November 1958 Air Ceylon leased KLM's L-749A Constellation PH-LDP for its new, weekly connection Colombo-(Bombay)-Karachi-Bahrain-Cairo-Rome-London-Amsterdam. For a limited period this route was extended from Colombo to Bangkok. PH-LDP was sprayed in a very pretty, exotic livery and received the name 'Mahadevi', its previous name having been 'Rotterdam'. In November 1958 PH-LDP was superseded by KLM's L-1049G Super Constellation PH-LKA/4R-ACH which also received a full Air Ceylon livery. On 3 November 1958 PH-LDP was written from use at Schiphol (Amsterdam) and has been scrapped sometime in 1962.

Also required Team 749's Lockheed L-749 Constellation Models Update (749_models_update.zip). Included mdl's custom made by Manfred Jahn. Repaints (based on Manfred Jahn's textures) by Maarten Brouwer.

Althought many of Asiana's fleet is changing it's cloths to new livery, It still remains with it Old Color scheme. You'll need Wilco/Feelthere Airbus Series Vol. 1 to use this repaint. FS2004 Lockheed C-130J Hercules. The C-130J is also known as the "Super Hercules". The 403rd currently uses ten of these equipped with all kinds of gadgets including palletized meteorological data-gathering instruments. Each plane has five crew positions. These are amazing aircraft, and in light of hurricane season these textures were developed. They were originally developed for the SIMulated Air Force, a VATSIM MSOA. Model by Mike Stone. Eastern Air Lines, Douglas DC-7B (N836D) livery for FS9/FSX - This aircraft in real life has been lovingly restored by the Historical Flight Foundation (HFF). It has recently been approved for flight by the FAA, and should be seen at airshows soon.
The HFF is unique in that its Douglas Aircraft Co. DC-7B aircraft represents the only U.S. based, four engine, passenger prop-liner in operation today. The aircraft being operated by the HFF was still in its original passenger configuration as delivered to Eastern Air Lines in January 1958. Of the 112 DC-7 aircraft produced, this is the only surviving passenger configuration aircraft. You can read more about this aircraft and get all the latest news at: http://www.n836d.com/
THIS FLIGHT SIMULATOR VERSION:
This livery is a re-creation of the aircraft restored by the HFF, and is accurate as of April 2010. It uses a special model created by Tom Gibson, to allow an accurate livery layout on the nose and nose gear doors. Please follow the installation instructions carefully. You'll need to download and install the CalClassic Domestic DC-7B - the American Airlines DC-7B Base Pack: www.calclassic.com/dc7b.htm

This is a repaint for the Aerosim Boeing 737-200ADV, of the Air Inuit Boeing 737-200C. Air Inuit is a Canadian airline serving many northern towns and cities, where,a s the name suggests, the people of the Inuit live. Air Inuit has only one jetliner, and it is this Boeing 737-200C, which seems adapted structurally for the airports it operates from. Because of this the repaint isn't 100% accurate, since with this repaint I can not alter the model itself, only the paintjob that is "pasted onto" the model by FS. The repaint itself, however, is quite accurate. I wish you many happy landings!
