Royal Italian Air Force Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-6

File Description:
The Regia Aeronautica (Royal Italian Air Force) received more than 90 Bf-109 G-6 during June 1943. Liveries for two different aircrafts, a G-6/R-6 belonged to 70th Squadriglia of 23rd Gruppo of 3rd Stormo (The 'Angry Wasp', based on Cerveteri's airport, near Rome) and a G-6 belonged to 154th Squadriglia of 3rd Gruppo (The 'Red Devils' group, based on Comiso's airport, Sicily), during August 1943.There are no wing fasces, roughly overpainted in accordance with the abolition of Fascism after the Mussolini's deposition (25 July 1943).
