File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire Mk.VIII RAAF A58-379 (JG270) ZF-Z, which arrived in Australia on SS Tekaa in january 1944. Still bare metal, it went to 549 Sqn where it received the serial ZF-Z. It was regularly flown by F/Lt Glaser, who put his personal symbol of a buccaneer below the cockpit. In november 1944, it was painted foliage green, remaining with 549 Sqn until the end of the war, and was struck off charge in 1948. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.
