Alaska Coastal Airlines purchased the first commercial airline goose in Alaska in February 1945, which was N48550 S/N 1061. Alaska Coastal Airlines operated 9 G21s out of Juneau, Alaska from 1945-1962 until the merger with Ellis Air Lines of Ketchikan, Alaska. The combined fleet between the two airlines reached a fleet of 18 G21s. N48550 is still flying today with a private owner in Oregon.
